A lot of good advice here again. I knew if I asked the question you all would bring up different things I didn't think of. I definitely do not want to get hurt or if I do make things worse by having a pistol jammed into me.
I was originally thinking about carrying in my tank bag. But I don't really like that option either for several reasons. My brother seems to make a habit of wanting to stop at little stores a lot. If I go inside the store with him I don't feel bad about leaving my tank bag because it's usually in and out quick and everything is usually in my sight. Plus there isn't really anything too important in it. If I had a weapon in my tank bag I would either have to take it off which isn't hard but it's not fun. Or wait outside.
I know years ago I worked with a guy that had a fanny pack that was a holster for his 1911. I believe it had a Velcro type setup that you pulled on to drop the storage compartment and expose the holster part for a quick draw.
I definitely appreciate the good advice.
