A Hunters Perspective on Stopping Power

Now Craig is PMing me insults. Nice. Always good to know that the person who does not agree with me CANNOT provide any actual facts to back their statments and have to resort to name calling and more baseless statements. I have asked him several times to provide anything useful to support his claims and he has nothing. I have refuted his statements with reliable scientific data, so I will not persue it any further then that. If he attempts to troll this thread again everyone please ignore him, he really has no idea what he is talking about.

Many post here, have no profile, argue until the cows come home, and feel it is ok to insult others:confused:

Regards

I don't get it, arguing hard facts with personal opinions is pointless. Insulting others when they won't side with your personal views is just plain stupid. Call me crazy but I just don't see the TKO formula being of any real use in personal defence firearms, that is why I used OGW to give a real comparison of soft tissue damage, but I guess that hurts some peoples pride to see a 357 is more powerful then their .45 that they worship like some kind of deity. Nothing wrong with a .45 ACP or .45 Long Colt, but they are NOT the be all and end all of stopping power, never were and sure are not now. If you shoot a 45 better then you do a .40 or a 357 then by all means use it. If you have to endure the extra size/weight/recoil and are not comfortable with it I think the 9mm and 40 S&W have shown themselves to be power players in smaller packages with less recoil, and hence a better choice. I myself am more accurate and comfortable with a .40 S&W XD Tactical, or my 9mm Sig then I have ever been with any 1911 (yes I have shot almost all of them)

BTW Craig if I was your "son" I think I would eat one of these bullets, and spare myself the agony of being related to you. Thankfuly that is not possable seeing as I suspect I am much older then you.
