IMG_0101.JPG Here's a photo of my newest Single Action, a Bond Arms Pikes Peak Special. Couldn't pass up the deal! For about $549 I got the 45/410 version, with a free 357/38 barrel, and a pocket holster. Bond Arms also paid the transfer fee, all taxes and the shipping.
Cheers,
Unkei

Have you shot it yet? It's interesting. I had an American Derringer in 45/410, It gets your attention but it won't hurt. Sadly, I sold it. Enjoy!

Hi Stubert,
Yep, I've fired it with the 45/410 barrel but not the 357/38 yet. The weight of the gun along with the hand filling grips, ( I use the Genuine Stag Extended Grips) keep the felt recoil quite manageable even shooting 45 Colt Hollowpoints or Hornaday Crtical Defense loads,
(the ones with the 41 cal slug backed by the two 35 cal balls..a potent load).
What shooters need to remember is to pull the trigger down and back as that is the way it is designed..otherwise the pull seems like about 50+ pounds! It really lets off around 6 pounds and quite crisply if used correctly. Oh...and you can't let the web of your hand touch the back of the hammer, as this will dramatically increase the pull!
Cheers,
Unkei

I love my Bond. Have four different barrels. It has a permanent place in my gun safe for it will never be sold or traded. You can bank on it. The 4.25" .45 Colt/.410 has already saved me from a car-jacking in Miami. No need to even fire it! LOL One look at the gun and he was gone. The gun performed the function I purchased it for... protection. Don't ever let anyone tell you that producing that gun will have no effect! It's not the only piece I ever carry, but, it's what I had handy that day.

Awesome. I plan to buy a Century 2000 SOON and to carry it with 3" 5 pellet 000 buck .410 shells for defense.

I have the snakeslayer 45/410. I also have a 45acp barrel. I think the 357 barrel will be next.

Great find! Love mine. Was that an advertised sale?
Hey Tubby1,
Well...I received an email notification, but could be because I have been a long time customer with several prior purchases. Whether it was advertised publicly, I don't really know. But for the basic price of the gun in 45/410, they threw in an extra barrel of my choice, a holster, all taxes and transfer fee included...which I was darn pleased with! Plus, mine being one of the first hundred purchased, they donated the proceeds to a worthy cause.
Cheers,
Unkei
PS...below is the email I got!

It's great fun. I've fired mostly 45colt with no recoil issue. I also have the .357 bbl but have not tried that yet. I think they make a 10mm bbl that I passed on. I have the .327 fed bbl and that's nice.

Thanks unkel , congrats

IMG_0226.JPG By the way..this is another of my Bonds. This one is in 44 Special. I've been a fan of that cartridge ever since I started reading about Elmer Keith. My next purchase will be a Charter Arms Bulldog in 44 Special.

Wish I had seen that deal, would love the holster for mine. Though I can't imagine firing the .45. I have a 9mm, and using factory ammo, it's a big bang. I prefer using lighter loaded 9mm to shoot from it. Shot 60 rounds yesterday, I could tell which ones where the heavier loaded. Still working on the handgrip and trigger pull. This is the one I have. On the heavier loads the back of the trigger guard would bump my knuckle, not overly hard, but enough that many rounds would cause the knuckle to hurt. Looks like I tend to shoot a little high and left with it.

Congrats on your new pistol! My brother has a Bond Arms and he likes it!

I had a Bond Arms 45/410 for all of a week. The 45 LC wasn't bad but the 410 shells were way too much for me. I'd much rather shoot 410 from a governor/judge.
