Brady Grades

What a great aid in choosing a place to live. I'm proud to say I live in a D- state. With a little effort maybe we can make it to an F!

I am so ashamed of the score (b-) for my homestate of Nebraska

Maybe if the take into consideration that the Purchase permit TRUMPS the "Brady Law" they would dock some points???

They apparently dont consider the fact that anyone with the cash can LEGALLY aquire a full-auto, THAT should be good for a couple more "bad points"

And the fact that even though "technicallY" the purchase permit is required for private handgun transfers, the penalty for disregarding that law is: NAUGHT, nada, nuttin huny, no fine no time ( or at least it USED to be )

That should "help" lower the grade

Oh and we need to get those knuckleheaded state senators to pass CCW :banghead: :banghead:

Well, I am sure that Missouri is no longer a C+. They were pretty proud of the defeat of concealed-carry back then. It is now in full effect, and our streets aren't rivers of blood.

I would think we are no higher than a C- now, probably in the D range.

I hope that one day, with work and perseverance, we can reach an F.

Whew, I just realized this is from about 6 years ago. Florida's gun laws have become much more liberal since then. We have the "stand your ground" law, etc. We're probably good for a D or D- now

Alabama gets an F while California is up to an A- . I wonder how the SF Gun Ban would affect that grade...

apparently, the only thing AZ did to deserve a d- was to mimic the federal law prohibiting gun sales to minors and prohibit posession by minors. forgive me, but i don't see that as a bad thing. maybe there is such a thing as "reasonable" gun laws.

Ok, so when is someone going to match crime and accident statistics up with the Brady grades? I would bet the states that have the highest grades also have the highest percentage of violent crime and deaths by shootings....

Thirty-one states get a "D" or an "F" in measurements of the gun laws in those states, according to nationwide ratings released today by the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence united with the Million Mom March in partnership with state-based gun violence prevention organizations across the nation.

If 62% of my students were getting a grade of either D or F, I'd be fired for being an ineffective educator.

MD still has an A-......we should be at a B. IBIS has been defunded, we beat back the AWB for the last two years, CCW got out of committee.

They inflate grades for states where they are trying to either prop up one of their automatons in office or are actively using that state as a launching point to pass restrictions in other states.

For me, the Brady Campaign is right behind Satan for my most hated entities...

Then again, there's probably a reason these two are so close. Perhaps they are one in the same. I think they need to change their name from Brady to "Legion" for there are many...

Alaska's Brady grade is gonna drop on the next report card. Has to be an 'F' this time. The legislature prohibited local govts from pre-empting state law.

The age limit on possession isn't enforced unless the kid screws up and is mostly tied to having a hunting license. However the Brady pukes wouldn't have any way of knowing that.
