We always rank pretty low in a lot of things but an F from the Brady means nothing to me. Might make some of the liberals in Santa Fe uneasy. A lot more pressing issues here than a ranking from the Brady bunch.

California.......A-:banghead:

"California could improve its grade next year by maintaining records on the sale of rifles and shotguns,
banning the sale of .50 caliber sniper rifles and establishing a ballistic fingerprint system for tracing crime
guns."

:what: :barf: :fire: :cuss: :banghead:

Rats Florida only got a D+. Yes we have to try harder next year.

From their site:

and does not require background checks on guns sold at gun shows. In addition, Florida forces police to let people carry hidden handguns in public.

Last gun show that I purchased a gun, I did have to have a check.

And I like that it says "Florida forces police to let people carry hidden handguns in public.

They say the same thing about Tennessee. I'm sure they're talking about that eeeeevvilllll Gun Show Loophole. You know, the one where non-FFL private citizens can sell guns to one another without having to go through a third party performing a NICS check. We all get together at the gun shows to sell our nuclear powered .50 caliber full-auto belt-fed silenced folding-stock flash-suppressed sniper assault weapons to gang bangers and kluckers.

Now there's a mental image. Arm up the GB's and the KKK types and stand back. :D

Unfortunately, 31 states received grades of D or F in this year’s report card. Not surprisingly, many of these states have child and teen firearm death rates that are higher than the national average. For example, the average firearms death rate of youth in the eight states that received an F grade was 33% higher than the

I would love to know how many states with an A have a youth death rate over the national average considering that NM got an F with 27 kids killed and MD got an A with 81 kids killed. That tells me that states like VT and maybe MT or WY (I don't know their grades or how good their laws are, this is just an assumtion on my part) had huge numbers of kids killed that year. I hate to call those people retarded but somewhere along they way their brains must have stopped functioning.
