It's one thing to watch a video a few times and figure out what happened, and another thing when it just happened, so "What do you do right now?".
As far as the OP's question, here are a couple of considerations:
1. 2 of them and (unless your GF/Wife is a martial artist) one of you.
2. If you go down who defends GF/Wife?
This might sound cowardly, but I say try to get away and report, if they continue, then the ball is in your court at least legally. I know most guys want to be macho and "defend the lady's honor" or jump into the fray and emerge victorious, but those aren't always necessarily the wisest actions. Real life is not Hollywood and I'd rather live with looking like a chump than having placed my wife in further danger, or have rights removed or prison time assigned.
