Do you have ammo for all the guns you own?

Nothing less than 2k rounds for every caliber. Usually in excess to the point I'm wondering if I need a vault just for the ammo.

I keep a surplus for my CC guns, I dont care to shoot up all of my 12ga plinking birdshot. Things like the .22mag or the 30-30 that dosent make it out of the gun safe to often dont have any ammo put away for them

Before my boat sank I kept at least 200 rounds of JHP for each of my SD weapons plus I also kept at least a thousand rounds of target ammo for each of my handguns.. For the rifles/shotguns I kept at least a case for each caliber/gauge.

YEP:neener: I am a member of the local FD and the preplan is to evacuate for 1/2 mile and let er go. However after the storage barge sank what I can shoot in a day is the norm. As DR Phil says "That would be lots of piles".:D

Yes.

Not only do I have ammo for every gun, I actually have ammo for a gun I don't own also! Ran across some .45acp for a decent price and bought a box for when I go shooting with my dad, so I can shoot his essex 1911 :p

All of them except my .30-30. I ran out last time I took her to the range, and haven't found any at the local store yet.

Most definately. A gun without ammo is just something to throw at some one, or something. I try to keep as much ammo as I can for each caliber. I try to replace what I use plinking or hunting ASAP.

Nope - none for the 19th century Belgium percussion pistol in ~54 cal - and I don't think I ever will. :)

Yes for the rest - what would be the point of having them if I didn't?

PS - I also handload for all handgun calibers except for .22.

I have ammo for all that I own, and a whole lot of ammo for guns that I don't. I will typically buy (or at least try to buy) ammunition for a gun well in advance of acquiring it.

:)

Thanks for reminding me. I don't have any .22mag. I have no .32 S&W. I don't have a single round of 16 ga. I have less than a box of 20 ga. and I have only six rounds each of .32acp and .25acp...and I don't care. That's ten guns in all for which I have virtually no ammo. No good reason to have them, I suppose, but I'm too lazy to sell them.

always carry surplus on .22lr (a couple thousand), ,45acp (a few hundred), .44mag and .357mag (a few dozen), .30-'30 (a few dozen), 7.62x39 (at least 4 30rd mags). now that you mention it, i need to stock up on 12ga. have plenty of 000buck, but need to stockpile some #4shot for rabbits and squirrels and such.

Yes, even have rounds for the .380s. I knew I was going to get a .380 for my wife, so I started stocking up and had 500 rounds when she finally got it. Now we have three .380s and I have about 440 rounds on hand. I have hundreds of rounds of SD ammo for each gun but need to stock up on range fodder. Gets expensive sending all that Cor-Bon and Hornady downrange. I really need to pick up a couple of the Remington-UMC megapacks each for the 9mm guns and .38 Specials. Have about 5K rounds of .22lr.

Big problem is I need more secure storage. The safes we have now are full.

Absolutely, the only caliber I don't handload is 12 gauge, which I have a sufficient supply for. Everything else, I've built up a good stockpile, handloading.:)
