I think I might, maybe, but then again, cars tend to depreciate in value while guns tend to appreciate. But then, I also don't go running out the door to get the latest and greatest car every other year or so, that's just me though.
Seeing as I own a 1993 GMC Sonoma that has quite a bit of body cancer.......I would say yes .
Shes only worth about $900 on a good day to the right buyer. .
I don't have a car, I own cars. And as others said it all depends on how old the cars are, a few years ago no, at present, yes. Maybe I need to buy a newer/new car, neh, I don't make payments, and deal only in cash, both in cars and firearms.
Not at the moment. I do shoot with several who DO own guns worth more than my car - and now and again I get to shoot those $30K guns - they sure are nice
If you were looking at the blue book generously, my Model 1873 Winchester is worth about $6000 including added value for the octagon barrel, and .44-40 caliber. Worth about $6000 on a very good day to a very happy buyer.
My current ride is an 01' Buick Century (Nothing special, gets good gas & from point A to point B, works, etc) and thats valued around $5500 also on a good day.
So yes, you could say I have a gun worth a little more than my car.
Another interesting thread idea: Do you own a gun worth more than your HOUSE?
I have an old car and several news guns. One or more could easily be worth more than the car. Unless, I piece out the old car when it is finally time to go.
I have a 1994 Cadillac with 235000 miles on it (runs good, no dents and no rust) that I can't sell for $950. I have several guns that *might* be worth that.
