i talked to the guy that lives next door today. hes retired military and a vietnam vet a pretty cool guy our town was voted the number one undiscovered place to retire(new bern,nc) so we have alot of them especially in the historic district where we live

he came up and told me that he saw 3 mexican guys stand on the front porch looking in the windows. so he went up to them and said que pasa (whats up), they started talking about this and that in spanish not thinking he would understand( he lived in spain for 3 years) so he told them to leave and they started saying that we hired them to do some work and one started walking toward him good ol' paul pulled out his .45 and said leave or im callin the cops they left nice and fast

gotta love having retired people home all day especially former spec ops:evil:

Very nice...we need more like him!

My only present neighbors are a Bail Bond place next door, two ex something-serious guys, very nice people, no BS, good neighbors.

The mood of the Street here has been 'quieter' and more solid since they moved in.

Fine with me...

paul is one of those guys that will joke around with you and be very nice but gets serious really fast

we had a police officer living 3 houses down a number of years ago till he died in the line of duty (r.i.p. don) theres just something about being a kid and having a cop just down the block that makes you feel safe

johnny are you serious? new bern is boring like i said its the number one undiscovered place to retire lol i love it here pretty boring but its small and has tons of access to the outdoors we got the record black bear a few towns over about 10 years ago

FWIW:

Guess the three Mexicans read the same article about your hometown, eh?

Don't feel badly, they're EVERYWHERE....
