HK45 and USP40

Are these two pistols completely safe to carry with one in the chamber and the hammer down? Or if I chose to carry that way, should I have the safety on too? Thanks for your input as I don't really want to carry "Cocked and Locked" and I'm completely fine with a first round being Double Action.

They are both completely safe to carry with one in the chamber, hammer down. Pretty much all modern DA autoloaders are.

Yes. Try the DA pull on either gun. It ain't gettin' pulled by accident...<g>

I agree. I have carried a USP for duty and a USPC off duty for years. Always have one in the tube.
