I find that I have only three guns that I keep loaded all the time. One is my home defense Beretta 92fs. The other two are my carry guns, a S&W 642 and a Beretta 21-A. I sometimes carry other guns but these guns are always loaded and ready to go.

All of them...loaded and locked up,but easily accessable to my wife and I.
SP101...357 mag hydra-shoks
PT99..9mm jhp 115gr.
Glock 17..9mm+p corbon 125gr.

At least two.

Makarov in strategic hidden place in the house, Rem 870 shotgun by the bed.

Sometimes, the .357 mag Taurus gets loaded and put around as well.

My carry gun is always loaded, and at night it becomes my night stand gun (until I get dedicated night stand gun that is).

I don't keep any guns loaded. I frequently have a young visitor who I don't want getting into them and causing a problem. I'm lucky to be in a very low crime area and unlucky enough to have a home that's hard to defend.

I do keep loaded magazines hidden (still haven't found 2 of them in fact) nearby. Don't have legal CCW but for home defense I have my M17S by my bed with 2 loaded 30 round magazines handy but out of reach of children.

S&W 940 alway loaded and with me, I live in town and a break-in could happen while away. I live near a bunch of crooks or sheeple. There are a couple of us who watch the others but not enough care.

I keep a bunch of 357s rounds handy to load my 13, 586 or 1894C at night and a box of mixed shot shells consisting of #4's, 00, slugs for my 1300

3 are ready to rock....

S&W 66 snub (2 1/2"), S&W 640 Centennial and NAA Guardian .32. Thinking about loading up my Glock 23 as well.

Just 4

My Taurus 650 and my Stevens 311. Then the wife's Rossi M88 and her Mossy 500. Can't imagine loading them all. If I get down to the point of using my Nagant revovler for defending the homestead then the doodoo has has gotten way over my head.

The guns sometimes change but all 3 roles are ready 24/7.

Loaded

I have my Carry gun (P95) loaded all of the time, it sits next to me at the dinner table, on the couch when watching TV, and on the bedstand at night. Inside the house it sits in my fanny pack with a cell phone, cuffs, spare mags, etc. By the bed is a Mossberg 12 guage Security model (7+1), fully laded, with a bandolier of half slugs, half 00 Buck, both my wife and myself practice with it regularly. In the closet is a scoped Interamrs Mark X 30-06 loaded, with plenty of spare ammo. I have a Bug Out Bag in each Truck, with an unladed Mossberg 835, lots of ammo, and all the survival gear you would ever need. At work, we have a large arnsenal of any kind of weapon you could possibly need. I take safety very seriously, and spen upwards of $5000 a year on training for my wife and myself, and work spend three times that on me. As a side note, IMHO, the second most important security item in any house defense situation is two phones. One landline in the bedroom or safe room, and a charged cell phone with you at all times (you never know when a home invader might get smart enough to cut the phone line before breaking in). After evaluating the situation, in a lot of cases, you will find the need to contact backup (read Law Enforcement) as soon as possible. Having a working phone available is extremely important.
