How many guns do you keep loaded all the time?

All of them - All the time. Don't want to have to wonder, hmmm is this the one I left loaded after the last range trip.

See Rule #1.

Back when I just had 2 guns, I kept them loaded all the time too.

Wait, no I didn't, since one was a Winchester Model 670 in 30-06. If you have to rely on a deer rifle for apartment defense...well, over-penetration might be a problem too.

Anyway. I have two that stay loaded at home (Mauser M2, Keltec P32), plus my carry gun (Colt 1991A1 Compact), which also stays loaded. If you have more than a handful of guns, it's pointless to keep them all loaded, and it definitely adds at least some risk.

I have 2 kids, ages 5 and 2. After recently discovering that the little scoundrels have managed to raid my Golf bag I decided I had better keep my guns unloaded. So, all my guns are unloaded.

Just my 2 carry guns, SIG P239 and SIG P220. They live together in the mini-vault on my nightstand and I take one or the other with me in the morning depending on what I'm wearing. The vault is only built for one gun, though, so I really need to find a better system. Everything else gets locked up in the safe, but I've got lots of loaded mags for the long guns stored within a few feet of them.

3 always loaded:
Mossberg 500
K/T P32
S&W 686

Also, I have my SAR in a case under the bed, with a full 40 round mag in the pocket.

I keep four guns loaded at all times. My Kimber Custom Defender .45 ACP(primary carry), Colt .38 Det spl(wife's primary carry), a Winchester 1300 12 gauge with 18 inch barrel(under bed at night, in safe during day), and an AK-47 with 8 loaded 30 round mags in the safe for wtshtf.

I think I have somewhere in the neighborhood of 45-50 guns loaded. Don't really keep an exact count of those loaded and not loaded.

two. my beretta and my Kahr MK40. I carry one or the other, depending on what I'm wearing, and I don't feel like taking the time to load and unload them. I don't have anyone running around here that I don't know, so I'm not particularly worried. besides, someone I don't know would have to run the gauntlet of the German Shepherd, anyway.

I've thought about loading up my 91/30, but anything that called for that would be pretty darn extreme. besides, the stripper clips are in an ammo can right next to it.

when I finally get around to getting that Mossberg 590A1 with the pigsticker I've been wanting, that will be loaded, too. though probably not chambered. the *chick chick* disuades the majority of boarders, ya know...

Well, let me look around.....

S&W 340, LOADED (CWP gun)
Browning 380BDA, LOADED (wife's "house" gun when I am away)
Glock 22, LOADED (My house gun when I am home)
Mossberg 590, LOADED (My "people banging on the door" house gun)
Ruger 10/22, LOADED (Why not)
Ruger M77 Mark II, LOADED (Never know when it might be a deer trying to get into the house) :D

3 of 5 for me. The two I don't keep loaded are my Remington M141 deer rifle, and my single-shot .410. Those normally stay stored at home anyway. Up here at college w/ me, I keep all mine loaded. 2 Beretta 92's each w/ 15+1, and my Maverick 88 12 gage w/ 5 rounds of 00 in the magazine tube and nothing in the chamber (hammer down, safety off, though... just rack and roll) in the trunk of my car.

Two - one for me, one for my wife. You all are making me think that I should also get the Winchester 1300 Defender (8-round mag) out of the safe and load it up - even though we live in probably one of the safest places in the country.

Sort-of related funny thing happened this week-end. I was at a horse show with a table of leather goods to sell when this 4-year old and his dad stopped to look. The kid was a chatter-box (cute as a button). He told me, "I have a lot of weapons - a pistol, rifle, shotgun, two knives, and an axe". His dad, straight-faced, said, "We live in a bad neighborhood". Tickled the fool out of me.

Mmm... all of the carry guns, the wife's gun. The night stand, the Castle Defender Area Denial Weaponâ„¢.

That’s it.

How many do I treat as loaded? All of them.

Usually two or three, but not always the same ones. The most frequent bedside companions are the .357 mag GP100 and/or a Sig 239 9mm.
Both of these are very easy to use and I like the DA trigger on both.
Just hanging around during the day, it'll more likely be one of the .45ACP platforms.
