i can understand collecting pretty guns.
i can't understand collecting in a safe.
i would have to put them on a wall or in glass cases.

never, 0 rounds/year, i just collect them and they look pretty in the safe.

I can understand that. Although I enjoy shooting, what I really enjoy is the hunt FOR the gun. Going to gun shows, and gun stores, talking and looking...that's what I really enjoy. Buying the gun is a lot of times, a letdown because it means the chase is over. Even when I didn't know what I was chasing for sure. Until the next one comes along.

If I had the money, and the space, I could have a safe or display case full of guns that never got fired. :D

I am lucky enough to belong to a local private range within 10 miles of home. I checked my range notes and I shot about 150/month average in center fire handguns -- if all long guns & rimfire count it'd be between 200-250 per month.

At least 400 rounds a month, my EDCs get the most range time, previously my Gen3 Glock 17, currently my HK P30 (V3) 9mm, although I'm staying to carry my Sig M11-A1 more often.

I try to shoot twice a week or more. I like the mag hand guns and try to shoot 50 to 100 rounds of .44 mag, .41 mag and .357 mag. Once in a while .460 mag limit 25 rounds a trip. To finish up a day .38 spl. 100 to 150 rounds. Then off to reload more ammo.

In the winter season, I go thought about 200 rounds a week. In the off season about 200 a month. works out to about 550 a month average across the year. I'd say about 60% 45acp. 25% 9mm and 15% 38/357

I shoot about 300-400 rounds per week for no apparent reason. Sometimes I'll get a craving for rifles or shotgun/trap and the handgun numbers will go down for awhile.

My carry gun gets shot occasionally, but my HD pistol and especially competition pistol get shot a lot.

I compete regularly and go through around 350-400 rounds a month.

I should practice, but I don't. Matches are practice (not training), for me.

All the indoor ranges around here don't allow me to shoot my full house magnum stuff. So I'm therefore limited during the hot summer months, but I make up for it during the cooler months.

I love shooting, but shooting wheel guns is right there along side that of high powered rifle for me. There's just something about punching a ragged hole with a revolver that provides a feeling accomplishment, and even more so when I personally made the loads with my own two hands.

Not as serious now.

Don't shoot as much as I did. When I worked second shift I averaged 2000 rounds a year out of my 40 S&W Browning Hi-Power and 5000 out of my rimfires. I will still put over 1000 rounds through my CFs but it will include 40 S&W, 9mm, 38, 357, and 380. Oh, I almost forgot to include my 7mm TCU Contender. It is a hoot.

There is no way to certify this but I think I'm over 100/month. I shoot both .45's, a .38 spec. and a .357. I don't mind cleaning so I'll run some through these almost every range trip. Thing is, I never tried keeping count. I shoot some and reload when supply gets low. Part of the fun.

I shoot between 300 and 450 rounds a month. Usually about 90 rounds a week. I have several different guns and try to use them all.

I haven't shot in a month. Working way too much right now. I generally shoot about 3-4000 a year.
As it's going, this year may not hit 2000.

Up until I retired, when cost became a major factor, I fired just over 12,000 rounds a year. I found to be in peak shooting form I needed to expend between 300 to 500 round per week.

I was shooting very heavily at long range (about 100 yards or so) hunting varmint and deer, plus small game using a .22 L.R. for squirrels.

Though I no longer get to the woods and fields, I still enjoy shooting, and hitting what I'm aiming at.

I shoot about once a week, running about 50 to 100 rounds through my primary cc gun. Had to start reloading to afford it though.

The poll needs a much higher option, 500 a week.
I believe 500 a week easily fits into the category of "500 per month or more" ... 500 a week would be more.

Ditto ... the hunt and negotiation is the fun part! That's what makes some people "collectors" :)
(although I'm not much of a negotiator, I try and get a bit of a break)

I do usually shoot them once or twice before their long rest in the safe, then its on to the next one!

Yes it does, though its just kind of vague for those who shoot more than 500 a month which is not a lot.

Approx. 600 per month or 150 per week. Sometimes more. [emoji41]

I'm not on a schedule - it depends on the season and what else I have to deal with. Some months is is way over 1,000, some not at all.

When I work a lot, I don't shoot much. When I have a lot of off time funds sometimes go south. So it takes a balance.

I have gone 6-8 months without pulling a trigger once
I have also averaged a few hundred rounds a week for a few months at a time before.
It depends on several variables, time and money being the big two, but when I get a new gun I'll shoot more, if I have one that I'm having trouble with I'll shoot it a lot trying to master it.

Of course this was all before my tragic boating accident. :(:(
