Lookin' good, P51D. Glad you found this month's match to be both enjoyable and instructive.
Have to agree, though mine has taken a replacement part before (did some unnecessary modifications, but only one part was ever actually needed for reliable operation). The extractor died (just got worn and wouldn't reliably extract) after about 20k rounds, popped in a Volquartsen replacement and it has been plinkin' along for well over double that amount again (somewhere in the neighborhood of 50k more). This will be the second replacement (probably not needed if I could find the one that popped out), but with the rounds that I have put through it I can't very well complain about that.IMO, Ruger 1022s are incredible little guns. Rugged, accurate and you can shoot the heck out of them.
Hey!So I was hoping to get in a last minute entry this Saturday, is anyone else having trouble with the target website? It appears to be down or gone now, so if anyone can post a copy of the original for me? Otherwise I might shoot at someone's scanned pdf.
Also KSCCHTrainer, I don't think it counts if you just poke the middle of the target with a pen. In all seriousness though, that is a some fantastic shooting, what kind of target ammo are you using?
That's what I love about THR and the other "friendly" gun boards. Even at 68, I manage to learn something new every day. (Sometimes every hour or less!)Yup I havent cleaned the barrel of my Kimber for some time and today showed it needs a cleaning . I couldnt get decent groups for nothing
NP, Orlando, thanks for participating. Thanks for putting this on Maverick
Yeah, I noticed how horrible your target looked (yep, that one...the one with the perfect score).Yup I havent cleaned the barrel of my Kimber for some time and today showed it needs a cleaning . I couldnt get decent groups for nothing
