fyi,,,
i am a "real" pistol target shooter one handed with my MKII
i shoot,,,well,,,280plus out of 300 on better days at 50 feet
thats actually pretty good, puts me near to the top of the nra expert rating,,,,
my scores usually put me up with the top 10 experts around here, more like #4 or #5 in most cases
i went into this one knowing i'd never shoot a 100 (self defeating thought btw)
hoping i'd shoot a 90
figuring i'd shoot an 80
unless i had a flyer and shot a 6 or a 5 or something
to shoot a 90 in this is phenomenal (sp?) shooting
really,,,
if you were to practice the formalities and nuances of shooting target competitions you would place very well,,,
it's great fun and if you're cheap like me you only have to shoot .22 and it stays relatively inexpensive
unless you get the bug and start buying them premium guns,,,
oh,,,and yes there are a few out there who COULD put their entire rapid fire string in the 10 ring on that target with ease
but, almost without exception, them folks are some really dedicated shooters
theres always that natural around who never practices, downs a big basket of fried clams and french fries and then goes right out and shoots in the mid to high 290's
i seen it done,,,
p.s. when you shoot like that,,,the manufacturers GIVE you guns
p.p.s. the reason i don't shoot higher??
flyers
if i could tame those i'd probably gain 8 to 10 points
i'm working on it,,,
my best score (in practice) since i took up shootin' again = 291
haven't seen that in a while though
