Sons of Guns

I liked the suppressed AK-47; they took it from 160dB down to 127dB. So instead of a jet taking off, you have the first row of a Manowar concert.

That's worth $2800.

The most exciting thing in this show so far was watching them shoot fish with arrows. Other then that, this show is terrible.

I remember predicting to my sons that American Chopper would die after two seasons. No one ever went broke playing to the lowest common denominator.

Where do you get the idea that lawnmowers are complex machines???? I've been repairing them for the last 15 years, and ,quite frankly,I have more trouble understanding how to use my computer!!!

It's a TV show which features guns...so I watch it. It is so bad that it's mildly entertaining, providing you DVR it so you can buzz through the inane portions.
I watched the Thompson conversion episode yesterday. I kept backing up the DVR because I swear they showed 2 completely different guns in the beginning sequences. The gun he takes out of the case looks to have a 16" semi-auto carbine barrel. Then the gun they are waving around 5 minutes later has the shorter barrel, but it is before they have modified anything.
The editing is terrible.....it jumps all over.
I also was astounded when I heard the "that would kill whoever was shooting the gun and everybody around them." line. Ah well, it's his show.

I also must agree the daughter is extremely annoying.
Although the bow fishing segment was tolerable.

Another 'soap opera'

I finally saw the last one about a ONE THOUSAND DOLLAR toy bazooka,at 50.00 dollars a shot = W.T.F.

We made stuff like that as kids using rocket motors and they did not come close to that rediculious price.

This looks like the soap opera ,such as top gun, choppers, survivors etc.

Bear Grylls et al are in the same catagory.

I would much rather see a real show about real hunters and shooters.

Too bad that dog the bounty hunter and all this other b.s. are what sheeple point to as our 'leaders'.

Yup, those were 2 differentThompsons as seen by the barrel length on each. And my buddy, who is rather experienced with Tommy guns as a result of spending 40-plus years living a 30 minute drive from Knob Creek, noticed that the long barrelled one had a non-removable stock and the shorter (SMG) version had the button used to release the stock.

Bart Noir
Who enjoys the shows but realizes that there is a large "Coefficient of Hollywood" influencing what actually gets shown.

geesh, I keep saying im not going to watch anymore but its like a bad car wreck. You don't want to see that decapitated head on the ground but you just cant help but look.

As someone who works in the movie industry, they have access to anything the want to shoot and would not be going to some small shop asking them to build a gun that shoots blanks and letting a PA pick it out.

the "Leapord" gun was pretty cool but damn is that one guy working there handicapped? OMG... he is dead weight.

and its so annoying ot see everytime they get a new project that all of a suddent its the one that is going to make them somebody's in that field and put them on the map!... Because yeah, WD-40 and an air compressor do that black powder gun makes them experts in restoring firearms.

i wish it wasn't on anymore so i didn't watch! LOL.... and firing blanks even inside that shop with no ear protection is just STUPID... You don't get your hearing back.

I like the show. It features guns.

When I make a better show, I will complain about the shows that are are on now. Until then I will keep my know-it-all mouth shut because I don't want to sound like a DB on an internet forum.

.

So nobody can have an opinion without being a DB?

That sounds like a wonderful world you live in.

For the format, it is basically like "Pawn Stars" with gunsmithing....The lame guy who cannot even cut stocks or barrels is like Chumlee.

I thought that was odd they bought a $3500 (or whatever it was) transferrable Mac to convert to a movie prop.

As an art director and production designer, I've made stranger purchases.

Look at it this way, film boys need a full auto blank gun in 2 days and they hear there's a guy that does MG's just down the road... They have enough $$ to make it worth his while. Or just accept that it was done for the show.

The quicker this show ends the sooner I can get my Mythbusters back.

Whats really irritating is that my Dishnetwork says I get a Mythbusters episode on the days recording schedule but I get this crap show instead.

Its a crap show period, I find it offensive to gun owners, gunsmiths and god forbid my son would have to put his life on the line in the service with something they sold as the lowest bidder to the Military.

Obviously someone palmed some shady cash deal to make this series.

if i lived in the county who's taxes pay for that SWAT team i would be seriously pissed. i didnt see the whole episode, but why exactly did they "need" a modernized thompson???

I watched the show for the first time last night. It was on for a couple of hours and I thought it was entertaining at least.

Unlike a lot of you apparently I thought the daughter was the best part of the show. My wife laughed at her and said "If you had a daughter, she be just like that. She'd have you wrapped around her little finger, and you'd LOVE it."

Well, since I /AM/ making my own show (check my sigline), I'll definitely be voicing my opinion. :D

...That is, if and when I ever get around to watching this one. Just haven't been able to sit in front of a TV often enough lately.
