I just recently got rid of a blood blister from slamming a mag into a compact Glock and catching the palm of my hand(the hand holding the pistol). I guess the obvious answer to fixing this problem is keep your hand out of the way, but does anyone have anything more specific than that which has helped with this problem?

Exercise enhanced personal caution? :)

Unfortunately, I don't have any real advice. I've pinched myself a couple times on small gun reloads, too. I just try to loosen my grip just enough to keep the pad of my hand away from the mag well.

You shouldn't have to "Slam" a mag into any piece. Push it in, give it a little tug to make sure it is seated. Slamming one in can damage the mag, or the first round in it.

Use a longer mag for one of the full-sized Glocks for your reload - more ammo, no pinch. Not much difference carrying a full-sized mag anyway. You can get grip extensions if you want, but that might make a significant difference in the carry size.

One of the things that we do with some of our grip reductions, if the customer requests it, is to shorten the grip slightly to help reduce or eliminate the mag pinch. Like this G21 for a guy from Indiana...
