You probably should have asked this question in the general handgun section.
I like revolvers a lot, but I stopped carrying them concealed back in the early 1980s. On occasion, I will carry a small J-Frame Smith& Wesson if I don't have any of my autopistols available. Just a few months ago, I had to fly someplace and didn't want the hassle of taking the handgun, so when I arrived I borrowed a Chief's Special .38 and carried that. It used to be mine, but I sold it to the person I was visiting years ago. Anyway, it carried great in an outside the belt high ride holster right about at 4:30. That said, I have carried autopistols since the late 1980s almost exclusively. Specifically, I carry a 1911 .45. Reason being that it is very flat, and therefore comfortable to carry IWB, and I don't have to choose a small gun, like I do with a revolver, because though easy to carry (due to being flat), 1911 is also a big gun which shoots a big round. It conceals real well, as well, I'd say, as a Chief's Special .38. I can also shoot it better, and it is just as reliable, i.e., 100%. I shoot a medium frame revolver about as well, but then they don't pack nearly as easily and don't conceal nearly as well. Anyway, that's what I carry and why.
