The best thing I've ever bought that is Firearms related is the Lee Hand Primer devise. It just gets the job done and it didn't cost a fortune. I now have 2 of these, one for Large primers and one for small. Just about the neatest thing I've ever seen. Love them!!!:D

$329 for my unfired (at the time...) S&W Mod. 14 K-38 Masterpiece.

It's a tie:

$100 for a Type-38 action, 6.5 X 50mm Japanese carbine, sporterized in a Fajen stock, with a 4X Universal scope.

$250 for a Marlin 336-ER; the elusive .356 Winchester chambered Marlin.

Began collecting 52 Winchesters.....best money ever spent was a book to research the topic. Houze's Book "Winchester Model 52, Perfection in Design". Saved me from making a lot of bad buys, helped me pick out some really nice collectibles.

A couple of weeks ago I snagged a very slightly used factory Ruger 30 round Mini-14 magazine for $20 OTD from my favorite [strike]den of inequity[/strike] FFL. :D

(No, he doesn't have any more. I would've bought twenty at that price but he had just the one.)

I'd have to say a brick of 22LR shells at sale prices is one of the biggest values; cost vs fun.

Definitely reloading manuals and time spent learning about reloading on the net. The true value is the added safety that comes with attaining such knowledge before reloading rather than jumping right into it blindly.

Monetarily however, it would have to be my entire reloading (Lee 4-hole turrent kit and dies) setup for my 500 S&W and Glock 10mm.

My Best Buys!

SA 1911 Loaded Target in .45 ACP and SS. $591 NIB all in.
CZ RAMI in 9 mm, $434 NIB, all in.

NIB GI 1911A1-$17
NIB 1903A3 & A4 Springfields-$14.50
M1 Carbine-$20
M2 Carbine conversion kit-$20 ($200 to Feds)

Yugo SKS 95$ tax included

Once the Cozmo was removed and the stock refinished with BLO, it look's fantastic. The bore looks new too!
