Toss-up

I feel that it is a toss-up for me.

I have a CZ-75 since the early eighties which has shot almost everything and anything in 9mm. that I have fed it. I have been in pouring rain, snow, hail, accidentally dropped it in slopping mud several times and other than some hot submachine gun ammo, it fired every time and that is with little to no cleaning.

I have two USP Compacts in .40 that come pretty darn close. (Haven't had it in snow and hail yet.) but they have kept on ticking alll the times that I have taken them out.

So, mainly due to the length of time that I have had the CZ-75 and the testing that I have put it through, I would give the nod to the CZ. :neener:

My bobbed hammer Ruger SP-101 .357 with Gemini Customs package.

OK...now how about if you want it to go bang at least 11 times without a reload.

Probably my Sig 226.

My GLOCK 23 .40cal has never let me down,

but since the question asked for only one....drum roll please

My Polytech 14S hasn't either, has gone bang every time i've asked it to and has been on the spot for CQB drills and long range.

That would be my ONE and ONLY...

My Anschutz 2013 has never given me a problem, and is always accurate provided I feed it the right ammo. I don't have any other real guns though (yet).

If it really must go "Bang" it wouldn't be a 22 - I've had too many fail because of the priming compound not being consistent in the rim. Here are three of the guns I trust, in no particular order:

1. S&W 686
2. Glock 36
3. Kimber Pro CDP 2

Honorable mention goes to my BUG: Texas Arms Defender (over/under Derringer) in 45acp or 45LC (I have 2 barrels).

It's amazing how many people list the dreaded negligent discharge prone Glock as their most trustworthy weapon! :D I'm personally a big fan of them too. But my most trusted handgun would have to be my Beretta 92. Never failed.

Long gun? My AK, i've had it forever and it's never ever even thought about failing.

That can be Glock's new slogan...."When you want a gun that will go bang 101% of the time you want it to"

Gotta say the revolver...

Most trust-worthy, "know it's gonna go BANG! gun?"

EAA/Weirauch .38 Spl. snub-nose revolver. Granted, not an expensive gun, but it hits accurately (for a snub-nose), heavier frame handles recoil with ease, and has gone BANG! with every one of somewhere-around-2000 rounds put through it.

I've only owned my Bersa MiniFireStorm .45 for about 4 months, and even though there's never been one failure or hiccup in about 300-350 rounds, you never know what could happen when you need it the most (No thanks to Mr. Murphy). :scrutiny:

The revolver is the one gun I know will fire each and everytime I pull the trigger on a loaded chamber. :D

Everything in my safe also goes bang every time or it wouldn't be there.

For self defense any of the dozen handguns above .32, (except the Vaquero, no SA only for self defense) or the 870, the 12 ga SxS 20", the AR, or SKS. Bolt guns for longer work.

First choice would be my IPSC limited pistol, Para P-16 (.40 S&W) with 18 rd mags.

Of the guns i have, my mauser. Its a bolt action for christs sake.

After that my pumpy /22, 100 years and still working beautifully. Extremely accurate little gun too, its got a very heavy barrel on it.

Then my Mini-14, just because its an autoloader.
