By ownership, bolt action.

By predeliction, falling block and side-by-side doubles. Just haven't won the lottery yet (Murray, ya gotta buy a ticket!)

Seriously, that's like asking a mother "which child is your favorite?"


FWIW, I shoot a lever action .22 (Marlin 39a) more often than I do anything else, but it is still not my "favorite."

I love rolling blocks. I don't know why. I've never owned one, shot one, and have hardly held one. Just seem pretty, for some reason.

Same thing for side-by-side dbl barrel shotguns. Don;t particularly like over/under, but side-by-side's I love. Same as above, too. Never shot one, never owned one.

Maybe I'm just going crazy

I like my semi's. They're accurate at long range and you can have some fun up close and personal during rapid fire.

Semi auto since i dont have to pay extra for left hand bolts and not much on lever guns i know they finally changed the eject here they dont hit ya in face but just not a fan .. i do like my single shot though but not as much as my semi's

I like accuracy. So, since bolt actions tend to be more accurate than any other action type, I prefer them. Of course when I say that bolt actions are the most accurate, someone with a tricked out AR probably got their panties in a wad, but in my experience, if you put an equal amount of money into them, a bolt action is the most accurate.

By number, I own more self-loaders.

After owning a Puma '92 in .454 Casull; my preference has decidely changed to lever action especially the Winchester '92 design.
When I pick it up it begs, "carry me" and "hunt with me" as no other can.
