I just googled FOID, that sucks man. Move to AZ. Do you need the card to buy ammo online somehow?Don't have any yet. My FOID card expired and I applied for the renewal over three months ago.
Indeed you do. As soon as you enter an Illinois address, the request for a FOID card # pops upI just googled FOID, that sucks man. Move to AZ. Do you need the card to buy ammo online somehow?

Took me almost two years to be able to shoot again. God speed. And you’re right, cancer sucks.Learn to shoot again, cancer sucks!
Ditto... time to thin the herd here as well.Sell.
Definitely build up my ammo and magazine stash, plan on getting a carry licens, saving up for the new Python or if that turns out to be garbo.. then a model 19 classic.
Ban or no ban. I just rather have a supply so I never have to worry bout running out or having a gun laying around with little to no ammo to shoot with.Be careful on stocking up on ammo and magazines
Right now I am just a fool for stocking up on ammunition and magazines. I will quickly become a hoarder on THR when the next panic occurs or new gun ban laws are passed.
I'm same as gunny, it was about 2 years before I could get out to shoot ... however in that time I scoured auctions for guns that I'd foolishly sold in my youth, or passed up because I was young and stupid ... after the first year I did a lot of reloading of 223, 45 & 9mm subsonic ... having a hobby really helps to keep the sprits up and something to look forward to!Learn to shoot again, cancer sucks!
This my second post to this thread and I felt compelled to respond to jmace57 because it says so much about the way so many of us think. We believe that eventually we'll get around to it...whatever 'it' is. A friend of mine many years ago bought lots and lots books. She commented one day that she buys books for the time she hopes to have to read them "someday". I'm happy for jmace57 that he is now retired and hopefully inspired to go after his hobby with enthusiasm and vigor....he certainly planned well. And I want to encourage everyone to make and pursue resolutions every day. DO NOT WAIT!!I retired (officially) yesterday. I got a complete reloading setup 3 or 4 Christmases ago, and it has been sitting in boxes ever since. I plan to get it set up. I plan to shoot more. I want to decrease my collection/accumulation by about 40% and actually shoot the things I have. I have at least 25 guns I've bought and never shot.
