What are your Gun Goals for 2020?

Focus down on really learning to shoot the .45 well. I'm better than average but migrated to the easier to shoot 9mm for years but have decided to focus on the 45 this year, loading and shooting.

Coincidentally, I also hope to finish saving for and order my first Wilson Combat... In .45 ACP ;)

I have quite a few goals. Mainly though, try to get my wife more involved in shooting. She is open to shooting and learning. We just have to get better at making the time. I want her to be proficient enough to use a handgun if the need every came up when i am away at work.

Colt is once again introducing new Python into the market, you can debate whether it is as good or the same as a classic one, but the Python is now on the agenda for 2020 for me. Whatever else I get or not don't know, depends on my lack of will power at the moment as a deal pops up lol.

Before the election though, gonna get lots and lots of ammo. Good chance the election will go in our favor but you never know and I learned my lesson the last panic when I was needing ammo and was a day late and a dollar short.

What are your Gun Goals fro 2020!

Ok folks real simple -
What are your Gun Goals fro 2020?

it can be anything so long as it’s firearm related
To take as many non or new shooters to the range and teach them about firearms and responsible ownership as I can. Also to teach as many that I can about how to reload safely.
Two days and one new shooter to the range already. I am on a roll.:D

I think this is a good year to stock up on ammo and reloading components. And I'd like to shoot more sporting Clay's this year.

Well I have multiple goals this year like many of you.
1. I'm getting into cast lead shooting with all the handguns. Mostly easy stuff to learn but the rifle stuff is a little tougher. Newbie learning the ropes. Hope to get it figured out by end of year for each rifle I wanna shoot boolits in rather than bullets.
2. I have several firearms I've had my eye on.
A. Savage 99 in 300 Savage or a 250 Savage, either will do.
B. 1917 Enfild Remington my LGS lady set back for me for when I get the others paid off. Still thinking about what to do with it. Thinking about maybe rebarreling to 375 H&H mag and turning it into a plains rifle. Just in case Africa ever happens. IDK!
C. I miss the 257 Bob in my arsenal. Sold my last one for kids money years ago, family first. Thinking an ER Shaw custom rifle. Never had a custom rifle built and the Bob is dear to my heart. Why not!
D. Don't know why but I just want it. There's a beautiful Fausti O/U double 12 ga. sitting at my LGS that I can get for heck of a deal. A guy ordered it and never picked it up. His loss.
E. Again just because I want it, a Ruger SP101 357MAG blued. Cool factor involved here, I love them revolvers.
Every year I task myself to introduce at least 3 new people to the shooting sports. I work as a college instructor teaching Automotive Technology so I meet new people all the time. Wish me luck!
Happy shooting!

I will have accomplished my main one as soon as this is paid off-View attachment 879975
Mine isn't that actual one, but looks the same with the addition of a Gracoil recoil reduction device. I made the deal to buy it Saturday, and hope to shoot it on New Years again. Maybe then a 9mm or .380 carry gun.
Update: This is the actual gun, still not paid off, but I got to shoot it again yesterday:

What caliber is the Sharps? I have a Winchester 1885 high wall in .45-70 and for the 1000 yard match in Arizona I borrowed a Sharps in .45-90...

It's a 45/70 Pedersoli with the 34" barrel and long range Creedmore Sights or Vernier. Where did you get the cheek pad from? I'm looking for something like that. As a matter of fact for now I'm using a foam noodle used for swimming that I have trimmed.

Shoot more.

Steel Challenge and 3-gun primarily, but I'd also like to find a place to hunt and get some "free" deer meat this coming year. Missed deer season this year. I've been living here for basically three years, haven't really looked for or seen decent places to hunt yet. Would like to change that.

CETME project
9mm AR project
Suppressor project (paperwork is already back)
SBR project (paperwork is already back)
10/22 project
two bolt action projects
And getting a 3d printer up and running!

Making what I already have shoot more reliably and accurately. Lots of range time, "testing", of course.

Buy a Smith .22 mag and Ruger .327 Mag revolver, and start loading for the .327.

Scope and sight in my Win 70 7 mm mag and Weatherby Mk V .300 Wby.

STOP FLINCHING! on the range.

Stay safe.

Good to see all the enthusiasm for all things gun related. 2019 was dedicated to selling some and buying others, which I did and acquired 4 new guns; including the AR build to create a dedicated coyote rifle. 2020 my plan is to spend quite a bit of time learning more about coyote calling/hunting and taking advantage of the numerous ranches I have access to for coyote pursuit. Also want to buy a silencer for the coyote gun. The list of things I plan to continue from years past is much too long. I spent some time in the past 3-4 years fishing, but compared to hunting and shooting my fishing interest is tepid to say the least. So, 2020 will bring more shooting and most likely less fishing.

My goal is to shoot what I like to shoot the best. I have no plans for any new guns, the last was a 6mm Rem I had built on a 700 action with a Douglas barrel, Timney trigger sitting in a CDL stock all glass bedded. This occurred in 2009. I have no desire for anything new or used, I have the 22LR rifles I like, centerfire rifles and shotguns. Right now I have enough components for my centerfire rifles and shotguns to last a few years. The same with 22LR ammo.
