I sold off my LCP because I hate the ridiculous price of .380 ammo and don't like reloading it.....just too small. Also, not a fan of the power (please no "shot placement" comments), so it's 9mm and up for my centerfire pistols. Anyway.....

My question: Do you care if you print your CCW? I have switched to a PM9 as my primary CCW and sometimes go IWB, but 90% it rides in a Desantis pocket holster, and you can tell it's there if you know what your looking for. So, that's it. Just wanting to see if folks mind being spotted. Me, I could care less. Just curious what others think.

There's no law against printing here, and the State can't pull your CPL if you do, so I don't worry about it. If a cop starts giving me a hard time about it, I'll stuff my shirt behind the gun and carry openly (which is what I'm doing most of the time anyway).

Will uaually cover..

I will usually wear a cover over my firearm. Just to be somewhat discrete. It really does not matter to me if I print or not.
In our state we have a LTCH=License To Carry Handgun=no stipulation of open/concealed.
Probably 80% concealed/20% open carry..Bill.;)

it's been awhile since my class but i am sure if you print in ohio you can get in some trouble if a cop even cares. i carry a cw9 the rear of the grip does print alittle but not much so i not to worried

I guess everyone would prefer not to print. But unless it constitutes a violation, printing really can't be major consideration in what and how you carry. You've got to have a reliable gun, it has to shoot reliable ammo and you need a carry method that allows a fast, secure, consistent draw. If you can't achieve this without printing a bit, then I guess you have to print.

Here in the Metro Portland area... Yes. Vicious phobics seem to enjoy lining up behind me at Fred Meyers when I'm going for my wallet. (no MWAG calls yet but i'm sure it will happen eventually)

I wear long Hawaiian shirts typically, specifically to draw the eye to the semi-clothed hula girls or jungle foliage. My CCW rides IWB, and close to the body on my wiry frame.

Rural Oregon I'll OC happily though. Rational thought prevails...at least where the firearms are considered.

Did bother me years ago when I first started to carry, but not anymore.

I carry a P3AT in a Nemisis. It bulges in the pocket. Anything in the pocket will bulge. People either don't notice or don't care. Besides, us Hoosiers got open carry.

This!

So when I do carry I probably do print because I hate (I really do) IWB holsters. But since I usually wear a shirt over the OWB holster while it prints ... it's not so bad that I've ever gotten a MWAG call.
At a certain point there is the reality that not everybody has the build to carry without printing *at all.*

I make all reasonable attempts to avoid printing, but don't worry about it very much.

I mostly carry IWB with shirt out but sometimes tuck my shirt and blouse it to provide more concealment.

I suspect most folks don't even notice a slight bulge if I momentarily show one.

Most importantly, I don't act like I have a gun. I never dress "tactical."

Yes I care if I'm printing. Concealed means concealed. I am occasionally in the presence of people who would be very upset if they knew a firearm (gasp) was in their presence. I don't care if there is a small bulge, but if you can tell that the bulge is a firearm, I will find another way to carry it or wear more clothing.

I dress for the occasion, but if no one is gonna care, it is mostly semi concealed... :D

MN is an open carry state and no one pays much attention to anything anyway.

I carry an LCP in the same holster. Honestly, yeah, it does "bulge", but it really only looks like there's a nebulous "something" in your pocket. People carry cell phones and such all the time that bulge too.

Matter of fact, I was sitting on the end seat in a movie theater last week - people walking directly by me the whole time and just due to the fact that they were climbing stairs were constantly looking down. Just they way I was sitting in the seat the pants were pulled pretty tightly over that holster and you could ever so slightly makeout the faint outline of it being gun-shaped. Either no one noticed, or no one cared.

Honestly, given that it's not a violation here (if the weapon is covered it is concealed), I don't really care THAT much.

I usually carry IWB in jeans and a T-shirt, and occasionally my shirt will rideup, or I'll print pretty badly. Doesn't bother me, I'll fix my shirt and continue with what I'm doing without thinking much about it.

I thought concealed meant concealed.

Concealed is for my convenience, not the world's. I don't make a fetish of it. If a gun expert can tell that I'm not that happy to see him, that's fine. If the dude behind me in line can see a little bit of the Pachmayrs in my pocket, I don't worry about it. This is Tennessee. Our permits cover open or concealed carry.

I voted "No," but that's because I'm spending a lot of time around the house lately. When I go out, I try to take a little more care to conceal, but I don't really worry about it if it is printing a little.

If someone asks, I tell them it's my colostomy bag.

Libshooter: Totally agree. I'd also add that depending on your location "printing" might not have anything to do with concealed.

Legalities aside, in my mind they're separate issues anyways. Scenario: a large chested lady in a tight blouse walks by you. Her "assets" are certainly concealed (and she'd be committing a crime if they weren't, just as many would be committing a crime if their guns weren't covered), but you still can tell what she's carrying under there.

In that regard, concealed absolutely DOES mean concealed - it's just that concealed DOESN'T mean "absolutely indetectable".

I got rid of my LCP for the same reasons. Now I'm looking for a new firearm.

I voted no, but I do try not to print at work. Outside of that, I usually open carry. Sometimes I pull a t-shirt down over my P229 in a Serpa. Prints like Gutenberg. No requirement to conceal in Utah, but it's shocking what people don't notice.

ETA: We call it casual concealment or CCC around here.
