Yes, no, about the same, and depends on how you look at it... Yes, I have four vehicles.

No, three of them are not on blocks, I do not live in a trailer, I haven't dated any of my relatives, I don't drink, and I've never been on COPS. So please, keep the white trash/redneck/hillbilly jokes to yourself:p

Redneck jokes are only allowed when accompanied with a picture of my truck...
 
yes since i drive a old volvo worth less then then 1500 rounds of nine mm. (wich imho should be the new currency of the world)
 
Depends which car and which gun.
Best car is worth more than best gun, but worst car...probably not.
 
Well, lets' see here... here are two Items I bought last year...

Chevy Cavalier with 155k and a blown engine, $250. Junkyard engine $400. Detailing $150. Two tires $150. Total $950.

Savage 11FNCS in 7mm WSM, $470 incl. shipping and transfer. .358 WSSM reamer and go, no-go gauges, $270. Redding dies, $180. McGowen Barrel $300 with shipping costs. Total $1220.
 
I wouldn't own a gun worth more than my car because I'd be afraid to take it out and shoot it. I own many guns and handguns and not one of them sits in a corner and collects dust. Any guns I buy, I plan on shooting the barrels out of them...
 
Yes, but only because my car is only worth about $500. :) I'd rather have my money in guns, they don't go down as quickly in value!
 
I voted yes as I can walk to were ever I need to go. I drive a 2003 F-150. Blue booked at around 8,000$. I don't need it as my wife can give me a ride to were ever I need to go. She is a great women.:)
And my firearms, well there mine.:neener: And I need them.:neener:
 
Considering my truck is only 3 yrs old, no. I do have guns that are worth more than my previous vehicle (Wrangler)
 
At the moment, neither of our car-type vehicles are worth less than any of the guns. In the past, we've had vehicles that were worth less than a new Hi-Point, so obviously...
 
Most of my guns are worth more than my daily driver ford ranger... None of them are worth more than my 68 C10 though
 
I have a browning hi power that I could get 900 for. My car is a 99 new beetle tdi with 260k on it. That might qualify (if not, it's worth more than my 86 honda shadow). My m1 might be worth more on the local market.

I guess owning a super expensive gun is some guy thing that I'll never quite understand. I wouldn't want to carry something that expensive into the field or up into a deer stand. I'd be afraid I'd drop it or ding it somehow! I don't know much about gun values, but I would have a nervous breakdown if I made a $2000 ding in a beautiful rifle or shotgun like that!

Your comments presume that a gun has to be super-expensive in order to be worth more than one's car. ;)

I'd be worried about driving an expensive car and getting dings and scratches on it. Six and one-half dozen the other. Can't have nice things and use them every day if you're paranoid about wear & tear.
 
Value of Car vs Gun

Seeing as my car is going on 15 years old. A unit marked Navy Luger maybe worth more.

95 honda civic that I paid $500 for. Dependable, good mpg. Most of my guns AND bicycles cost more than that! I drive good junk so I can buy more important stuff, like GUNS! lol
