Hello friends and neighbors // I have not puchased a Colt newer than 1983 so I really can't speak to their performance for the last 30 years.
I rarely shoot more than 50 rounds from each revolver in a range visit, the older ones(pre 1930s) around 20 rounds usually satisfies me. My SD guns get most of the range time.
Of all my Colts the only one to give me trouble is a 1978 Trooper MKIII due to the previous owners fondness for flipping the cylinder closed.
I suppose Colt is making money on what works for them but I'd like to see them make something like the S&W 327 NG in addition to the SAA and New Frontier.
Anyone have one of the new SAA?
Colt 1908, Bisley Model, .45colt, 4 3/4" still working as of yesterday.
I try to take a pic of the first group from every firearm. I know I'm supposed to take a pic of the best group but I usually just keep shooting up the same target.
This thread reminds me of the Rock Ridge town meeting in Blazing Saddles (Howard Johnson is right!) - all we need is some Authentic Frontier Gibberish, which I'm sure is around here somewhere...
