If you could have any firearm what would it be

For me there's only one answer, a full auto, WWII Tommy Gun. I want one that was issued and saw action and I want it's complete history if possible. Any theatre, any branch of service would be fine. That would be a real treasure to me.

Millenium action, Border Barrel, in a Mcmillan stock in 6.5-.284. Portable, and can really reach out and touch someone if necessary...

Although, I am quite happy with my Anschutz 2013...

A royal-grade British "best" gun, side-by-side, sidelock, on a 20 ga frame, with 16 and 20 ga barrels, custom made for me, and stocked to compensate for my right-handed/left-eyed-ness.

About $120 - 140K, according to my limited research. :what:

And then I wake up...

In Order of Desire(today atleast)

M-16 lower receiver- as has been pointed out, the lower will accept uppers and adapter for calibers from .22, 5.56, 7.62x39, 6.5mm, 6.8mm, and .50Beowulf(+more) :what:

H&K MP5sd in 10mm- as I have said before, this would make for quiet 10mm MP goodness  .

M14-Suppressed-.......Nuff Said :D

I would like a .12 ga S&W model 60 with night sights, Crimson Trace laser grip, three speed loaders, four speed strips, and a Black Hawk carbon fiber holster. :neener:

A Lorcin in .380, chrome coated, tritium night sights mounted on the side of the slide so I can shoot it gansta style, a gold trigger, ivory grips with my initials in gold leaf, and a sharkskin holster.

Like many others I'm happy with my current inventory of fine firearms; I
just need some time to learn to shoot 'em ( :D Laughing Loudly).

But there is always room for one more, right? Then it would probably be
a Sako in .243 Winchester with an expensive Zeiss 3x10x50 scope mounted
on it. :uhoh: :)

An authentic USGI M21 or M25. I'd settle for a real deal M14 though.

LeMat Remake

I'd personally like to see S&W make the following. A modern update to the classic french LeMat percussion piece. It would have to have a 10-round cylinder chambered in .45 Long Colt, and the second barrel chambered in either .500 S&W Magnum, or .454 Casull. This would combine the reliability of a wheelgun with a better round count than single-stack 1911s, plus, you'd have the Magnum round for hard takedowns. If S&W made something like this, the X-frame would be a great base to build upon. I'd open-carry that monster in a western-style rig with belt-pouches containing 10-round moon clips for quick reloads. Sorry for resurrecting an old topic.

I can't decide!

HK MP5K with the special briefcase that the gun can be fired from.

Baby Eagle in .45

MG42

M61A1 20mm vulcan cannon

I'd like an MG-42.

I am humbled a bit by the fact that I currently own some of the guns that people have on their "wish list" here, and I don't own that many guns. I am counting myself luckier in gun ownership now.

Voted FN2000, add some:
1) PGM Mini-Hecate .338 Lapua
2) FAMAS G2
3) Browning HP Mk3

That should cover everything.

Actually, this is an interesting idea. But you're talking up a cannon there.:D I'm trying to visualize how big a 10rd .45Colt cylinder would be. You can get a wheelgun so big Dirty Harry wouldn't carry it.:uhoh:

Here's my thoughts, and this is purely my own opinion...

The classic 1863 LeMat was a .36caliber, so I'd go 9rds of .38spl or .357mag. The .357mag is a faster round and from one explanation, has more umph than a .45Colt (much as I like the .45 too). The original LeMat was also single-action and I'm wondering if there's a way to incorporate a loading gate in the side of the frame. I don't know how easy or hard it would be to make it a swing-out cylinder. The original second barrel was a 20guage muzzleloading shotgun and this has me wondering if there's a way to make it breach loading much like the idea of having this barrel chambered in .500mag or .454Casull. I wonder if this second barrel would fire a 20guage slug accurately, but with buckshot it wouldn't really matter. Now, since we're talking about a modern updated deal, I wonder if that shotgun barrel would be legal being so short.

I don't know, but it sounds cool either way.
