My wife is the best in the world. Not only is she just plain wonderful she also embraces my hobby of shooting. I ask her to pick up a box of .38 and a box of .303 and she comes home with a hundred bucks of ammo. We go to the range and she out shoots me.

So let's here it for the spouses, the gun widows/widowers so to speak. This is a thread for those significant others who do what they can to feed or at least accept our hobby/obsession.

My husband hasn't really gotten into shooting as much as I'd like, but he keeps telling me he's proud of me.

Yeah yeah, yada yada.

That's all well and good, but when she does all that AND shows up with $100 worth of Bombay Saphire gin, $300 worth of new lingerie AND a girlfriend....well then you can start telling me about how your wife is better than mine. Shooting stuff is all well and good, but sometimes a man needs som attention paid to his GUN! :what:

(better stop now before Art's Grammaw has an actual stroke...)

I just wish she hadn't adopted my Sig P230 AND my best nickel Colt Government .380.

PS--No disrespect to Sheslinger--I'm sure she's a peach of the first order!

Snake Eyes, I'm sending you the bill for getting the coffee out of my keyboard that I snorted while reading that :neener:

My wife is the precision shooter of the family and is becoming quite the gun snob after only a short time. It's a good thing, but is looking like it's going to be expensive over the next year......a Hammerli .22, Morini air pistol, custom 1911 :what:

OTOH, she's a cheap date to go to the range....takes her an hour to shoot up 50 rounds of .45acp :D

All of my long guns have been purchased by my wife.
Colt single shout .22 Bolt
K98k
SKS
Mosin 91/30

All have been presents for birthdays, Fathers day, wedding anniversary.
She told me for Christmas I can get my CMP Garand.

My wife has bought me several firearms related gifts in the past few years. She doesn't go shooting with me as much as I'd like but, she has never complained about me going with the guys. Which used to be about once a week!

I knew she was the one when she was getting her things together to go home shortly after we met and she reminded me, "Don't let me forget my necklace...and my gun."

Gotta appreciate the fact that when 2 big boxes showed up yesterday from The Ammunition Store with FAL kits in them my wife's only reaction was "Cool let's see how they look!". :D

My wife isn't really so much into shooting, but she tolerates my hobbies with little more than a rolled eye as long as I don't get too outlandish. She's a good'un.

With my luck, the girlfriend would be my replacement.

My husband called from Japan:

Husband: Hey sweetie, what are you up to?
Me: Oh, just working on my gun
Husband: Oh wow, do you know how many guys would kill to hear that from their wife when they call home?

;)

I got a good one. He pretty much lets me run wild with the gun stuff, he's totally understanding :D "Hun, we need to order ammo"

I got a good one too. Never once in 29 years has she said anything negitive about my "addictition".

Mine pretended to believe me when I said we needed a bigger safe so that we could keep more family photos and vital documents safe.

I bought my hubby a Ruger Mark II for a wedding gift, but now I have to get him to get his carry permit. I'm also on the look out for a gun the matches my Kel-tec and a cheap lever action. THey are both "for him". :uhoh: :neener: :scrutiny:

On the other hand I'll play video games with him so he'll let me buy guns.

My dear wife accepts all to do with my shooting - supports it really. She does not shoot that much herself but is competant to the point I am very proud of her. I don't expect gun stuff as presents - she knows I like to do my own ''shopping''.

Even better was early in the year she got her CCW and can now carry when she wishes. That was the icing on the cake. The is a diamond.

One day, before we were married, she came home from work and asked me if she could shoot a box of .22 that weekend. I said, "of course you can". She then asked me to pick up a box of .22 for her. I told her I would just get her a brick of .22s. She said "that is what I meant, I want to shoot a brick of .22". I asked, "You want to shoot 500 rds of .22s?" She said "yes I do, I had a stressful week at work and I just want to shoot stuff." So I picked up 2 bricks.

We went to he range. She brought her Ruger 22/45 and 4 mags and proceeded to blow through 500 rds of .22. She was putting lead on target too. I tried to get her to slow down and work on her groups but she told me to go play with my stuff and let her shoot. She emptied the box before we left.

You know, it was cute when it was just .22s. But now that she has moved up to bigger calibers, it is just darn expensive. :what:

I buy ammo by the case now. She never questions when I by ammo. She just says, "Thanks honey".

When I finally get a day off, my wife says "why don't you go shooting tommorrow".
I made her a deal when we got married. The bonus check is mine and the tax check is hers.

I had a great one too. The only two new guns to come into the house
were hers. She even got her hunting license and we both helped out at the Hunter Ed. class for several years. Sadly the Lord did an early recall, I miss her.
