Two earlier movies referenced

The "I'll get the bomb, you get the girl" line was from Sahara, featuring the FN FAL, AK 47 "Al, I need a door RIGHT NOW!" too funny.. There's Gen Kazim's breaktop revolver (Webley? dunno) in " point 455 caliber..very rare..hard to find the rounds. I have them made by Holland and Holland of London... 27 pounds each!" :)

The correct lines for The Terminator:

"The .45 longslide, with laser sighting.."
"The 12 gauge autoloader.."
"Phased plasma energy rifle in the 40 watt range.."
"Hey..just what you see, pal!"
"The Uzi 9mm.."

And what about Alien Nation and James Caan's .454 Casull ;)

How about the Greener shotguns in Big Jake.

Jake: Near, or far?
Sam: Near...my eyes...no good.
Jake (whipping out a pair of Greeners): Me too!

Or something pretty close to that.

Winchester 73 has already been mentioned, but how many of us can't see a Winchester 1897 with thinking "The Wild Bunch"?

1874 sharps Quigley Down Under and Young guns
M-3 Grease Gun Hell is for Heros
m16 Blues Brothers
Spencer Carbine and Smith and Wesson Schofield Unforgiven

Bond,...James Bond

living proof that fictional British spies not only don't don't get their choice of weapons, their armourers don't understand them.

Bond is originally armed with a .25 cal Beretta, which he is forced to turn in for a Walther PPK. Q (or M, I can't remember which) tell him the PPK "hits like a brick going through a plate glass window!"

And in "from Russia with love", bond uses an AR-7 (which we are told is .25 caliber) to shoot down a helicopter!

And as far as guns in movies (that no body has mentioned yet), check out Tom Hanks's work with a Tommygun in "Road to Perdition"!

Movie with the gun in the title and the story
about the gun = "Winchester 73" Jimmy Stewart

Jimmy Stewart plays a cowboy who has a
WInchester '73 that is marked by the factory as
being "1 in 1,000" Back then WInchester would so
mark those rifles that had exceptional accuracy
with that phrase. Stewart is pursued by some
BGs whose leader is obsessed in getting the rifle
after Stewart refuses to seall it to him.

I liked the scene in Ronan with Bob DeNiro -
he plays an agent assigned to a french or Interpol
unit. WHen he shows up in France after
introductions with the Special Unit he is asked what
kind of pistol he preferred for the job. They offer
him some polymer high cap. guns and he
asks for a 1911 - they put it down and call him
Grandpa but when the shooting starts he can
lock and load and fire and reload as well as any of
them. and the Grandpa label is discarded

While the 7.65mm might not hit like a "brick through a plate-glass windo (this was the Armourer, a Major Boothyroyd), it was, and is, a good concealement gun, for 1962 (or '57, when I believe the book Dr. No was written). Ammo would be commonly avaliable.
Also, with the chopper- he shoots the guy in it, causing him to drop a hand grenade- BOOM!

"The Colt Longslide with laser sight."

"Uzi 9mm."

"Phased Plasma rifle in the 40-watt range."

"Just what you see, pal."

"Just what you see, pal." Not, "Where on earth did you come up with that?"???

That was a real gun store in Los Angeles. It was around Hollywood, although I can't remember where it was exactly. The owner of the place had a degree in inscrutable That's pretty much what he would have said. :)

The classic 1975 SWAT!

Did you know: the original Los Angeles SWAT team was armed with 12 gauge shotguns. The producers of the show substituted AR-15 rifles because they felt that shotguns were, "too brutal." It was in a TV Guide article during the first year the show ran.

Someone mentioned The A-Team but forgot to mention Col. John "Hannibal" Smith's iconic use of the Browning Hi-Power :D

Also, someone said they used a Colt Commander in Heat, but I believe that's mistaken. Al Pacino's character used a Colt Defender for a sidearm, and Robert De Niro's character used a Sig P220.

I can’t believe this hasn’t been posted yet (unless I totally missed it). The AMT Hardballer Longslide (with laser) in the 1st Terminator movie. It took years for me to find one after that movie.

I’ll second (or third) the 1911 in The Last Man Standing.

Also, in the Maltese Falcon, Wilmer (Elijah Cook Jr.) sported twin 1911’s. I’m pretty sure the “small” pocket auto seen in the movie, along with most other period gangster/detective films, is a Colt 1908 Pocket Hammerless. A beautiful little auto in .32ACP or .380. Very well done ergonomically and easy to conceal. I wish someone would reproduce them in 9mm.

Finally, as posted earlier, the Beretta 92 in the John Woo movies. That man knows how to shoot an action film!

Matt

Iiiiiiinteresting.

Very cool, if true.

What gun did Steven Segal use in Dark Territory? I always liked the way he walked with his guns and kept them ready to shoot the BG (even when going over plans for their next move with the good guy in the middle of a shootout. )

Love the double barrel 12 gauge in the scabbard in "Army of Darkness". "Shop smart, shop S-Mart"

One of my favorite lines from the movie "Snatch" and not many people have seen or remember it:
"The fact that you've got "Replica" written down the side of your gun. (withdraws his gun) And the fact that I've got "Desert Eagle point five O" written on the side of mine, should precipitate your ba**s into shrinking, along with your presence. Now... F*** off!"
I almost sprayed beer out of my nose on that line. Loved it ever since.
