Well, "to have" I think Arnie's AR-180 from Terminator would be fun.

The SAW from Proof of Life might be cool, too (one of the better depictions of small unit tactics, too).

In re: "Combat," Action was having a marathon, and they talked to the character who played the Lt. He was offered the tommy, first, but he knew from his Army experience how heavy they are, so he chose an M-1 carbine, instead. I heard that the solid rubber "carry" tommy from Combat auctioned for a pleasantly large sum a ways back.

Quigley Down Under: Sharps .45-110 rifle. Here's one for only $3,300: http://www.shilohrifle.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=22&products_id=35

Dirty Harry: S&W Model 29

Pale Rider: Modified 1858 Remington Percussion Revolver

Star Wars: Han Solo's blaster

Death Wish 3: Wildey .475

Terminator 2: Winchester 1887 Lever Action 10 gauge shotgun

The Outlaw Josey Wales: Colt Dragoons

I'd have to say that the Jap Type 99 Machine Gun, Type 38/Type 99 Arisakas, and the Type 14 Nambu are my favorite movie guns. Japanese weapons of WWII are pretty spiffy, in my humble opinion.

Author Jo Davidsmeyer wrote a coffeetable book "COMBAT!" several years ago.
The "dummy" Thompson was actually made out of wood because Vic Morrow, who complained about its weight, caused MGM to build a mock-up.
Rick Jason, who played Lt. Hanley, was an avid hunter and did his own reloading. The first day he showed up on set, he was handed the Thompson by the prop man (who was, curiously, named "Tommy Thompson") and refused it because he realized carrying it around all day was going to get tiring.
A wood B.A.R. had already been made so the guy lugging it around could catch a break when it wasn't actually being used.

* Rick Jason, who played Lt. Gil Hanley, commited suicide in 2000.

I like the minivan mounted belt-fed in Jackal. Well, to be honest, I just don't like Jack Black.

I've honestly never thought about my favorite move gun. Though the M41A pulse rifle from Aliens would have to be towards the top of the list.

Terminator 2, when Arnold's terminator comes, bringing a pump action hid in a flat box containing roses, unknown if it is to finish the boy or to finish the other terminator. They beauty of the scene is that the pump action serves a purpose and is used for that purpose alone. Another scene similar is in Pale Rider where Clint Eastwood's character brings out lock box containing a revolver. Noble people know when it's time to flash a gun, criminals and scum bags not, flashing theirs all the time for no reason at all.

jad0110 you beat me to it.

Preachers 1858 Remmy cartridge mod pistol in Pale Rider.

Main reason why my wife heard a little birdy tell her to get that for my birthday. :) now I just need the Kirst cylinder.

I thought I would be the first to mention it, but theotherwaldo beat me. I would just love to have a working copy of Mal Reynolds' sidearm from Firefly (Vera is just too gaudy for my taste).

Vash the Stampedes revolver. DA 6 shot break open chambered in .45LC. fires from the 6 o'clock barrel. It is a cartoon/anime gun, but still... it's rather neat lookin. Similar to the Mateba autorevolver, but it's break open. Very neat pistola.

BHMBILL! Gotta Love Vash! and don't forget Knives' black version! Actually, Trigun is a wealth of cool fantasy weapons.
