7/29/05 - Senate S.397 Discussion

Four Senators missing today.

Feinstein (D-CA)
Roberts (R-KS)
Sununu (R-NH)
Smith (R-OR)

Obviously Feinstein would have voted against. I'm guessing Sununu and Roberts probably would have voted for it, and I'm not sure about Smith. So that is 67, possibly 68 Senators that support it.

I took Matt's work on the final vote and sorted it by Vote, Party, State. I can quickly say 2 Republicans voted No, 14 Dems voted Yes. The Reed amendment supporters are pretty much still together among the no votes on the final bill.

A day late and a dollar short, I know, but I'd give it about 65-35 Smith would vote for this one. Wyden, on the other hand...well, the record's there. :fire:
