Do you have pro-gun bumper or window stickers?

“From your cold dead hands?” Sure, most gun owners are too lazy or cheap to spend even $35.00. And the few who do won’t display the decal…

To each their own. I'm neither lazy nor cheap; similarly, I am not a fan of pissing away my hard-earned paycheck to support a lobbyist organization's absolutely bloated board of directors' plush lifestyles.

Plush Lifestyles

I might recommend that you search up and read some of the NRA-related posts by Robert Hairless.

He does a good job of explaining why it's a badge of honor to stand up for RKBA by refusing to join the NRA.

I might suggest something for you. I found that, as I aged, my grasp of total knowledge began to slip, such that somewhere in my thirties I began to realize that I no longer knew everything. Probably early Alzheimer's. You may find, as you bump into things in life, that your answers change, that your knowledge changes, and your convictions change.

That's not true for everyone. I've known people who knew everything when they were 18 and still know everything today. I wish I were that fortunate.

Maybe you'll be one of the lucky ones and perhaps you'll have nothing more to learn. I would ask that you think kindly of those of us whose age has robbed us of that total certainty we once had.

If you change your mind, I'm reasonably sure the NRA will still be there.

A whole bunch of us old fools will be funding it, since we've forgotten how bad it is.

In over twenty years since I've had my first car I have never put a pro-2A or gun sticker on any of them. Why call attention to yourself when there is no need to?

May be a stupid question, but what is the symbol that flynlr posted in post #56?
no such thing as a stupid question.

I have no gun stickers just an Army one. But when I get a pick up truck I intend to stick a little NRA one on the back window.

I don't have any on my car, but if I did I would use something a bit more subtle that only fellow gunnies would recognize. Like the AR-15 Bolt Face logo, or the Gunsite Raven.

Most people won't even recognize the Stars and Bars (it's not the Confederate Battle Flag!). The ones that do, understand it to mean "the right to be left alone". Sic Semper Tyrannis!

I have had an NRA sticker in the back window of my SUV for years now. Recently, my CHL class instructor advised removing such devices on the grounds that it advertises to potential thieves that your car might contain a stored firearm - particularly if you are parked in a mall parking lot where you have secured your gun in the car because of the signs on the mall entrances forbidding you to CCW in the mall. So, even if you had no gun in the car, you might still come back to a car that has been ransacked and the windows busted out of it.

I don't claim to know if this is really something to worry about or not, but it did give me pause for thought. For the moment, the sticker is still there. I haven't decided yet if it will stay there.

A BG seeing such bumper stickers might follow me to my house, then wait for the right opportunity to break in, on the reasonable assumption that I have guns in the house.

That was written by someone who pontificates too much.

Sure, anything could happen, but is it reasonably likely to happen? Of course not. I think it's just as (un)likely that a BG would see the stickers, follow me to my house, note my address, and pass slong to his BG friends that they don't want to mess with the residents at that address because we are almost certainly armed. Both scenarios are equally highly unlikely.

Burglars are among the lowest of the criminal food chain and, with the exception of the high dollar heist specialty burglars (more common on TV than in real life), are almost exclusively drug addicts who act on opportunity above all else.

A truck plastered with gun stickers might make a burglar think there is a gun in the truck when it's in the mall parking lot, but it might also make him want to steer clear of that vehicle on the chance that it's owner could return and be armed.

Leaving that cell phone, laptop, leather coat, purse, iPod, etc... on the seat is much more likely to cause you to be a victim of burglars than any bumper sticker.

For Years!

NRA (since the day I joined which was a long time ago) - VCDL - since they sent me the "Guns Save Lives" sticker. Both are on the rear window of my truck.

Putting any type of sticker on the newer painted bumpers will result in damage to the paint.

I also have a Bush sticker on my antique car. Not because I agree with everything he has done but because he was a better choice than the other pair.

I too doubt the truthfulness of the "follow you home and break in" statements; I have not seen any evidence that housebreakers are that inventive. They seem to have plenty of homes to break into without being prompted.

I once had a KLBJ 93.7 FM Rock radio station sticker on my car and the ba$+rds stole my radio. Now I have an NRA sticker and people think I was in the Marines.

Thanks Arfin & flynlr. I don't spend much time at arf.com but I still should've known that for as many times as I've seen that view when cleaning mine.

My car NO- BUT My Van looks like a traveling road show --It Looks like I bought out the Bumper sticker Table at the last Gun show >
Funny =:)Time parked at a rest stop on the Turnpike -I came out of the rest stop and maby 20 people were reading the back of the Van --They all said --We like your stickers !

Now I have an NRA sticker and people think I was in the Marines.

I don't see the correlation. A Marine sticker would make me think that, NRA sticker makes me think NRA/2A.

I don't advertise anything on my truck, just mud occasionally.

Two for the die-hards out there:
