i am curious what kinds of guns your wives or girlfriends like to shoot? i bought mine a glock 19 and colt 6520. she is very comfortable shooting with both of them.

Getting kind of personal, aren't you? I don't even know you and you are asking what my wife likes? :)

My wife does not like guns. She is not really an anti and thinks people should own guns for protection, hunting and for just plain enjoyment if that's your thing; this must be so because she doesn't complain about my sizeable collection (I like guns!).
My wife does have her CHL and carries a Kel-Tec P-32. She also prefers to shoot a Glock 17 we have above anything else we have for practice. To her guns are tools and nothing more, she feels she needs one for protection which is the only reason she learned to shoot. She has taken the time to learn how to use it safely and proficiently but does she like to shoot any of them? Well no; to her it is a neccesity to stay proficient.

I would like to add on a side note she is a pretty damn good shot for someone that doesn't like guns! I guess it's kind of like the vaccume cleaner to her, she doesn't like it but she has learned to use it and is pretty good with it! :D

Just asked my wife, she said "Anything that goes bang." She owns a Tauras .38, NEA .410 and a M44. But she likes all my guns too.

She currently shoots a Glock 26 and a Russian SKS.

Someday when finances permit, she really wants to pick up a 1911-pattern .45, specifically a Colt M1991A1 or similar. She has shot rented 1911's on occasion and really likes them.

timc, a hard-line feminist might take offense to that.

Hey guns aren't the only thing we share, I spend some range time with the vaccume too! :D

Don't have a wife. My husband likes to shoot anything that goes bang.

my spousal unit(i haven't had a wife for years) likes the colt det spl snubbie she inherited from her father....

Of all the Handguns I have ever owned my wifes two favorites have been my 4" Colt Diamondback .38 Spl, and my .44 Mag Ruger SuperBlackhawk with 7 1/2" Bbl and 3X Burris.
She shoots both very well and other than her Rem 870 12 Gauge is her personal favorites.

My wife's favorite is a XDsc9. She enjoys shooting our P22 and my XD40 also.Lol, she will not touch my S&W 642, says it shakes the ground.

.45 ACP with 185 Grain Berries and MY handloads

Caliber size becomes irrelevant with proper Handloads. Any wife would likely enjoy MILD loads, regardless of caliber. I even make a .454 Casull purr like a kitten with 6.5 grains of IMR Trail Boss in back of 250 grain Berry Bullets. Slugging in 13.5 Grains of Alliant Power Pistol makes a beast of itself with 240 grain Hornady XTP/MAG bullets, with recoil to be managed or feared. .45 ACP loads with 185 grain projectiles and 5.0 grains of Hodgdon Clays powder should be feared by no one. cliffy

My wife CC with a Sig 232 SS, not a fun gun to shoot up a couple hundred rounds at a time. Her face really brightens up when she has my S&W M&P 9pro in her hands. She says this is a gun she can have fun with. She also shoots Skeet and 5 Stand using her 12 ga. Browning Cynergy Adj. 30" Sporting. She's waiting for warmer weather to try my new M&P 15T, I'm afraid she will burn through plenty of ammo.

She shoots our SP101 with .38 spl's but only 10-15 rounds. She's pretty accurate with my old MKII and really enjoys shooting it (who doesn't) Today, goofing around she hit 7 out of 9 shotgun shells lying about 20 yards away. (Sleepy Creek WMA in WVA)

My wife and I have been shooting since the beginning!

Right from the get go my wife has enjoyed shooting with me. I grew up shooting and introduced my wife to the sport. My wife always liked my stainless 10/22 that was factory stock, no modifications. In fact that was the first gun we shot as a couple. So one Christmas i ordered her a bull barrel, laminated thumbhole stock, gutted the inner workings and gave her a tack driving 10/22. She also enjoys shooting her Kimber Stainless Pro Carry II .45 ACP. She received that one for Valentines Day one year. Now that we have children it's turned into a family event that everyone enjoys. Shooting brings us together as a family and gets us out of the house.

Her favorites to shoot are... the guns that are her's of course. Smith and Wesson M15, Ruger MKII, Ruger Blackhawk 50th Anny, and Glock 19.

She carried a S&W Mdl 10 Snubbie when she was in uniform.
Today she carries a S&W 642 for CCW, but her favorite shooter is her S&W Mdl 14.
Do we see some sort of a pattern here?
