U.S. Marshalls: There's a scene where Tommy Lee Jones extolls all the virtues of Glock and tells the guy he is working with to get one.

That was The Fugitive.

Robocop-Beretta 93r (well, sort of) and Barrett M82.

Predator-M134

Minority Report-Beretta 9000s

The classic 1975 SWAT!

I am pretty sure that was US Marshalls. Tommy Lee told Robt. Downey Jr. to get rid of the chrome plated sissy gun (Pretty sure it was a Taurus).

Beretta 92: The Replacement Killers
Desert Eagle: The Matrix

Special mention:
Barrett M82: Miami Vice (The Movie)

Agreed. It WAS U.S. Marshals. (The second movie w/Tommy Lee Jones in the role as Sam Gerard.) "Fugitive II" so to speak.

As for the 'nickel plated sissy pistol'. . . it looked like a Star 'Firestorm' to me. Not sure of that, though.

??????????????????????

"The Colt Longslide with laser sight."

"Uzi 9mm."

"Phased Plasma rifle in the 40-watt range."

"Just what you see, pal."

"Just what you see, pal." Not, "Where on earth did you come up with that?"???

================================

I always think of Desperado and the hand cannon shotgun.

Not really a tv/movie but certainly part of my growing up experience...

Doom2 and the Double Barreled Shotgun

(also the BFG-9000 but it's hard to find the plasma cells for it).

My very first post on these forums and it has to be this:

Winchester m1887 shotgun - Terminator 2

The M79 in Terminator 2 was prominently featured, but I think the most iconic use of an M79 was in Apocalypse Now. Cool, calm, calculated... Downright creepy.

"Hey, soldier, do you know who's in command here?"

Bond and his Walther

Someone mentioned the Walther PPK Bond carried. I recall that in the first or second Bond movie, our hero was forced to carry a PPK. He originally hated it as he wanted to carry what I think was a 1911...can't blame him there. Anyone remember it that way?

Lawn mower blade - Sling Blade

"Some people call it a sling blade, I call it a Kaiser blade."

:D

S&W M29 .44 - Fallout

I believe you are mistaken. Fallout 2 had the expanded arsenal of guns, Fallout 1 only had the .44 Magnum Desert Eagle. :(
The Combat Shotgun was nice, though. A bullpup magazine fed semi-automatic shotgun would be nifty.

I cant remember the guns but I always liked "Death Hunt" with Charles Bronson and Lee Marvin.

Aargh... didn't realise that. The magnum was my favourite in F2 - 3 ap instant killer, with Sniper, Better Criticals and aim eyes.

Never figured out where the Combat Shotgun was meant to be from... it had 3-round burst capability, if I remember correctly. Can name the origins of most of the Fallout weapons, even the references to obscure comics/movies, but not that one... did look pretty sweet though. :)

Remington side by side: Army of Darkness "THIS...is my boomstick!"

I've always liked the scene at the end of Saving Private Ryan where Tom Hanks is shooting at the Tiger with his 1911. He's wounded, dying really, the tank is about to cross the bridge. He pulls the .45 out, fires 6 rounds to no effect, the music swells, he fires the final round.....and the tank brews up in a huge fireball. The look on Hanks' face is priceless, and Spielberg timed the shot upwards at the Mustangs flying overhead after (presumably) FFAR'ing the Tiger absolutely PERFECTLY, just long enough of a pause to almost sell you on the idea that maybe he did kill that big chunk o' steel with a pistol!

Wind Talkers; Garands, M1 carbines,1911's, enfields, springfields and ......... Nicholas Cage's THOMPSON SUB-MACHINEGUN WOO HOOO

And what was that movie where Tommy Lee Jones says, "Get rid of that sissy pistol and get yourself a Glock"
