No, that’s just one table of the qualification course if memory serves.
We understand that you cannot admit you are wrong Llama Bob, emotional investment in your argument has reached a point that no amount of evidence will convince you.
I tried the scout scope, and scout rifle concept. I really wanted to like both. I spent a lot of money to try it out.
The Steyr Scout was a good little rifle some day I’ll pick another one up. The scout scope sucked fecal matter through a straw, literally the most useless optical sighting solution on the market today when you can get a low powered variable that is way faster on 1X and way more capable of deliberate shooting, target acquisition, and target identification on the upper end of magnification. Almost no one uses the scout scope for anything but a “scout rifle” not many serious end users use scout rifles. Why is that? Because the sighting concept is not very good compared to current options.
Because the vital zone is much smaller than the whole man. And because men who are being shot at tend to hide behind things and only expose small portions of themselves. Or so I’ve heard.
Why specify a 4” circle at 25 y and a 8” circle at 50y and then a full 30” target at 500? Do men magically get bigger the farther away they get?
Actually, no, the Scout was not designed for CQB shooting.
That's the thing that's so remarkable about the Scout - people are happy to opine about it, yet know LITERALLY nothing about it. Haven't apparently read the first word, or else have intentionally ignored what they should have learned. It's baffling.
You guys are a riot. The FACT is that the forward optic proved fastest for mixed shooting. if you think something else is, all you have to do is go and shoot the shoot-n-scoot course faster. But I'm not holding my breath.
and i was merely comparing the standards drills for scout rifles from frfrog's page to actual standards that serious shooters and thousands of hobbyists have met with modern weapons. it seemed appropriate, since both drills used the same size targets at the same distance. if you were correct, no one would be able to complete the meusoc qual without a scout rifle... and yet they do.
