The Steyr Scout was a good little rifle some day I’ll pick another one up. The scout scope sucked fecal matter through a straw, literally the most useless optical sighting solution on the market today when you can get a low powered variable that is way faster on 1X and way more capable of deliberate shooting, target acquisition, and target identification on the upper end of magnification. Almost no one uses the scout scope for anything but a “scout rifle” not many serious end users use scout rifles. Why is that? Because the sighting concept is not very good compared to current options.
