Continue improving my shooting (since Sept I've been going to the range once or twice a week, shooting 300-500 rounds per range trip), and possibly doing my first competition.
It has been forever since I took a training class (other than my MD carry permit class), especially a good defensive oriented class. I'm already signed up for one in January (just a short couple hour class), and I intend to sign up for a few more. Along the same lines, I want to sign up for some simulator training for some realistic defensive scenarios.
I am a teacher. I love shooting and collecting guns. I've long considered "some day" putting that together and getting certified as a firearms instructor. After Bruen, there are a lot of newbies getting involved (some of the gun handling and marksmanship in my carry class was outright scary). I'm thinking it may finally be the year and I may get either NRA or USCCA certification and start teaching some classes geared towards beginning shooters.
Back in Sept I started on a goal of revamping my collection and getting rid of guns that didn't really work out for what I intended them to do, that no longer really fit a niche in my collection, or weren't really what I wanted to start with and I bought due to finances and they were cheaper than the gun I really wanted, and replacing them with guns that fit my needs and wants better. Well, I've done a good job of adding guns that fit what I want better (a Colt Gold Cup, a Dan Wesson Heritage, a SA Garrison 9mm, a .22 pistol and .22 revolver, a couple Glocks, a SIG P365, a Rossi 92 lever rifle in
357mag), but I haven't done as well on the selling guns part. I have 10-15 guns that I will probably take to a dealer to put on consignment in the next week or two, and I still have 2-5 on the list to buy in the next few months (I still have a bigger want list than that, but I'm only buying 2-5 in the short term).
