Which 22's do I shoot? Remington 541S, a stock Ruger 10/22 Deluxe, TC Classic, Weatherby Mark XXII (semi-auto), Smith Model 17 and 18, Ruger Mark II Bull Barrel, High Standard Victor.... oh there are more, but most of the Colts don't get shot anymore with the majority never having been shot. All told, 22's dominate my accumulation even though I have a fondness for 357's and 41 magnums. My next firearm will probably be a 22 and I believe I'm going to take the plunge on a BFR in 475L/480R (unless I find a something I can't live without). Yes, I am a 22-aholic. But my accumulation is nothin' in comparison to what some have over at RimfireCentral.

I thought it was a rule, everybody HAD to have at LEAST one .22 LR...

I'd be hard pressed to name a fellow gun owner that doesn't have at least a 'few..'

If I were King, firearm safety would begin in grade school, and marksmanship would be a requirment for graduation...

I have alot of .22s

Mostly at the range I use:

Remington 597 (I don't own a 10/22)
Ruger Mk1
Winchester .22 Lever Action

I'm wanting to pick up a Savage or CZ .22 bolt and put a can on it.

I think everyone should have at least one .22, if not 2. I feel the .22LR is one of the most effective evangelising tools we have, as gunnies. A .22LR rifle is, IMO, the ideal way to introduce a complete newbie to the shooting sports.

Plus, it's nice to be able to practice without breaking the bank.

Just had FIVE more delivered to me yesterday from an auction held more than a month ago out on the Wrong Coast (San Fran.). there's another on its way here from a Georgia auction held last weekend. Do those count?

Before this half dozen, I think I had somewhere around 40 or 50. I don't count 'em, just accumulate 'em...

Let me check my passport:

Yep, says "USA" so I must have some.;)

And since someone said if you own 'em you must have pictures, here's just a couple of them:

A S&W 41

Colt's aren't S&W's, but they're okay

Well, this could go on for a while, but I've wasted enough bandwidth. I shoot all of mine, love .22's!

Last picture, here's the guardian of the .22's:

You Want Pics???

Hi Slugless. YEP! Got a bunch of .22s, a number of CFs, but only one scattergun that snuck into the herd. And, TONS of pictures. Where ya wanna' start? I just didn't want to bore everyone to tears. I thought everyone on the net had seen my stuff already. Maybe not...

Here's a start. These in pic below are some of my Fialas wearing their carbine disguise. Gun at bottom is a Special Order with 12 1/2" bbl. instead of 20". The Fiala is my first love although I collect both .22rf single-shot pistols and rifles.

The Fiala Model 1920 looks like a semi-auto but is actually a magazine-fed single-shot that must be recycled by hand after each shot. The 3-bbl sets came in a very nice fitted case. The barrels were 3" for carry, 7 1/2" for range/plinking, and the 20" for hunting. Kind of the "original survival rifle." Fiala ran an outfitting company in NYC for explorers, adventurers, surveyors, etc.. He even accompanied Teddy Roosevelt on one of his Amazon explorations.

Anthony Fiala didn't trust semi-autos to work in the sub-zero conditions he expected his customer be working in so he had the designer (who also designed the Hartford Arms single-shot, which later developed into the Hi-Standard Model B when H-S bought the company) make it single-shot.

Below are some of the herd. Got lots more guns. Bottom photo is what a 3-bbl set in its case looks like. Will run some more DIFFERENT KINDS later.

MERRY CHRISTMAS! ~ ~ ~ 45Broomhandle

First gun was an old tube fed Marlin and i still shoot it till this day on top of several others

Gotta say that now matter how jaded someone gets or how wrapped up in the high-speed-low-drag "tacti-cool" stuff, there is something amazingly joyful in going out with a brick of 22lr and plinking for the afternoon
