Just kidding, guys.

In all reality, I would be shocked if somebody doesn't shoot a better group.

As I stated before, I did nothing to optimize that group. It's what I consider to be an average and repeatable group.

If I recall correctly, you were less than satisfied with your group, and there was some discussion on shooting another one.

So, if the truth be told... We're probably tied for LAST place!:D

I know you're kidding, I was cracking up when I read it. Your funny.

I shot with the scope last weekend, and although I still wasn't real happy with it, I didn't think it was too bad. Now that I look at it some more, it looks real good to me. Way above average, un-repeatable, extraordinary. :evil:

The card I shot in the non-magnified class was the one being discussed about a re-shoot, but I won't do that.

So, if the truth be told... We're probably tied for LAST place!

Well, yeah. Since we are the only two who entered that class so far, we are tied for first and last place. I prefer FIRST place, and no one can tell me differently. Just try, I'll put my fingers in my ears and go "nanananananana!" :neener:

Bambam-31, Beetle Bailey and I shot a few postcards today. Mine aren't all that great, Beetle Bailey shot great group on Bambam-31's mountie with skinner sights. The first and 2nd shot were through the same hole with the 3rd shot as a slight low flyer. It'd be interesting to see how that measures out, pretty damn good for open sights.

It was fun shooting the postcards. My brainfarted attempt was first to shoot at a index card on the hostage side of a IPSC target (white sillhouette). Therefore, couldn't see beans for the actual index card I was suppose to shoot at. 2 spotters to tell me if I actually hit the index cards or not. Next line break we switched the IPSC target to the brown side :D

Also got a picture of my TDS with Bambam-31's Mountie.

Ah, a pic of the dynamic duo of M39's. Your pics have a way of making these threads so much more interesting....:D
 
A most excellent photo of two fine 39's.

B'Maj, please forgive me if I try to convince you
to turn that beautiful sling around to African carry
(like the one on my 39 and all other rifles).

It'll be much quicker to mount ...

Man, those are two of the prettiest 39s I've ever seen.

The lumber on the TDS is just gorgeous!

I had a 336 a few years back that was ALMOST as nice, but it went away during hard times.:(

I knew I pulled the last one low! :( Was it slightly to the right as well? I didn't get to see the card to find out how well I did. Do you still have the card? If so, please send it in for me. BTW, if we get another chance, I'd like to try with your TDS as well. Here's the info to put on the card:

1. Beetle Bailey
2. Non-Magnified
3. Marlin 39 Mountie with no mechanical modifications other than sights
4. Skinner Sights
5. Open-legged sitting position
6. Outdoors near the Angeles National Forest. Warm, sunny, no wind

I would be non-magnified if I get in. My gun (currently) sports a Williams 5D.

What? Nobody bagged themselves a 3x5 this weekend? :scrutiny:

I did a motorcycle ride instead of range time, and next weekend I have a wedding to go to. I'm sure those pesky 3x5s will be overrunning the range by the time I get back to it. Oh well, I bought another value pack at wally world for just such a SHTF situation. :neener:
 
I might have to duct tape a scope to my 39 so I can enter the magnified class! :)

I can't stand the thought of installing a scope permanently. I did that to a Winchester 94 and always regretted it.
