Feb 2009 - Rimfire Match!

I tried out my savage with the new scope today, but the wind was killing me, 5mph with 15mph gusts, and i don't have a wind flag out on the range yet. I also broke out a new lot of ammo, and the inconsistancy was nothing like i have seen since i used remington, bu it could just not be the same as the last lots box... Need to pick up a box of target ammo from the shop, but we are running out of february people! Can anyone beat Clint?!

I couldn't get out to shoot today, it was raining today and I had to work on the baby's room. Sorry no .17 targets were shot today.

Here's my entry with my new-to-me CZ 452.

I score it as a 39.

Those circles look a lot smaller at the range than they do on the computer screen!


Rifle: CZ 452 (manufactured in 2002, I think)
Sights: Bushnell 3x9 scope
Ammo: Winchester T22 Target
Position: Sandbag rests, bench
Distance: 50 yds
Conditions: Wind 15 gusting to 25 (wind from the south, shooting to the east); temp 60 degrees

Well, I am going to try to get out tomorrow with all three bolt rifles and several different kinds of ammo and see what happens...

I'm going try to take the Remington 597 also...

Thanks P51D, I can say the same to you. Those CZ's are very nice guns, I just traded in my CZ 452 special/trainer for my Winchester 75. Hated to let it go, But had to so I could get the Winny.
