June 2008 22 caliber Rimfire Challenge

As a teaser I did get the FIRST and only PERFECT target submitted this evening. WOW! NICE SHOOTING John!

I'm defineately gonna have to go back and try to get a perfect score now.

If someone knows how to post a pdf I can forward the target to them.

Email it to me and ill post it tomorrow.

Well I went out to the range Sunday to see if I could do any better. Ended up not being able to shoot the target because the only lefty station is at 50 yds and they would let me move it to the 25 yds row

eluwak: That is the spirit and intent of the "match." I'm glad you are getting out there and joining in on the fun, challenging yourself and sharing your success with us.

There are others who shoot the match but don't choose to submit a target. There are a few at my own club's range that shoot em but haven't yet turned one in. That is cool too. While it is fun to compare the only one we are really competing with is ourselves. Knowing that a 75 is possible gives us a goal. Even the guy (John) who shot the 75 feels he could do better... Now that is a perfectionist.

Actually for me the greatest satisfaction is the emails I get from participants. I especially enjoy the ones that say I shot this with my Son, Daughter, Grandpa or Dad ... I figure if I get one person out to the range that might not have gone otherwise, this match is a success.

I can relate to FastFrank... I cannot believe I didn't shoot a single target this month. Criminy....

But I did get a handful of chipmunks, and 3 squirrels. I just couldn't figure out how to score them.

Thanks, Mo, for giving me hope for the July match! (I say that, but I haven't looked at July's target yet. Should I reserve the right to withdraw my statement of hopefulness?)
