This one is open to any and EVERY 22 caliber rimfire rifle including 22 mag. This match is meant to be challenging and FUN. Hopefully it will get you out to the range and shooting your rifle.

You may enter with multiple rifles.

Scoring
Take ONE shot at each dot, for a total of 15 shots. The hole touching or inside largest dot is worth one point. The slightly smaller dot below it is worth 2 points, the dot below it is worth 3 points, the dot below it is worth 4 points and the smallest dot on the bottom is worth 5 points. 45 total points are possible.

And to make this a little more interesting... IF ALL five shots in one of the vertical columns are CLEARLY FULLY inside the black a bonus of 10 extra points per column will be awarded. 30 possible bonus points + 45 = perfect 75 score

Range
25 yards for iron sights and non-magnified optics and red dots

50 yards for any Scope or Magnified sighting device.

A stock class, i.e. only stock rifles nothing can be modified, would be interesting.

Just to clarify, the target should be printed on 8 1/2 X 11" paper? (standard printer paper)

You many shoot as many targets as you like and submit your best.

If you submit one early and later shoot a better target you may UPGRADE your target. It is a little easier for me to keep score as we go rather than to do all the scoring at the end. So shoot early and often. Submitting throughout the contest also gives us something to talk about rather than just at the beginning and end of the competition and keeps the thread alive.

sounds fun.:) I'm game. It'll be a good test to make sure I'm keeping up the skills I learned (or think I learned) at the Appleseed shoot earlier this year. Printed out targets today, will try to make it to the range this weekend, weather permitting.

Please be aware that one shooter may enter with multiple rifles. So get out your bolt gun, your autoloader and your lever gun and have some fun!

I just did some 100 yard practice today with the 10/22.
I'll try my hand at one of these targets next week. :)

Well looks like I'm a go for some shooting in the morning :)

With any luck I'll score at least 18 pts :p

Sighted in my rifle today and got to shoot one target before they closed. This match is much tougher because there's no contrast for the dots. The squares on the small dot doesnt help either. Will go back next week.

Went shooting today. The targets are tougher at the range than they are on the monitor.

I'm going to try to go again tomorrow.
My 10-22 will be getting a scope upgrade. It has a dot reticle, and the dot covers the dots on the target making things iffy.Patrick

Nice work Spinner. Of the targets I've seen your's is the current scoped leader.

As a scoring example I read 11+12+6=29 and 10+11+12=33, no bonus columns awarded. Agreed?

Johnson_n sent me a good iron sight target that included a 15 point column. No bonus was awarded as all five in the column must be fully in the black. Still an excellent iron sight 31 point target.

There you have it folks, something to shoot for.

Question directed at JustsayMo about Spinnerblade's target #2

Does the very bottem center smallest black dot have the shot clearly fully in the black?

Bummer... I got up nice and early yesterday morning, ran out to the free range and the only slot left was a right shooter and a line was forming :( Guess I need to get out there before 7am.
