Taurus

I know that many badmouth them but my EDC gun is a PT145 and my bedside gun is a 9m/m 24/7 with a TLR1 light. I have put hundreds of rounds through both guns with not FTF,FTE or any problems of any kind.
I feel very comfortable with both guns.

Colt Combat Commander .45ACP, with some nice customization by the Colt Custom Shop.

The reliable ones that send lead down range. I have a few that do that...most notably my kimber and my glock.

I trust all of the semi-autos I own, but if I had to choose one I would say Glock 19 or maybe Kimber Ultra Carry II...it is difficult to name only one .

After putting over 200 rounds down range in a very broad range of projectile sizes and shapes, I can honestly say my Sig P238 as a carry gun, and my Kimber Warrior as my house gun get my approval.

I dont think its hard to find a gun you can trust your life too, As ill have a gun fixed or gotten rid of if i cant.
Currently my PT1911 and XD SC .40 are my trusted weapons.

I bet I am the only one here that will say Llama..I have an IX-D .45 doublestack 1911 clone...And havent had any issues for over 1000 rounds, other than it hammer bites me every time we go to the range...I have a taurus 24/7 pro, but havent had it long enough to say...

While reputations are an important indicator of future performance, you should trust the gun that has been dependable for you. If they all work, trust them all.

I own quite a few handguns from different manufacturers, including Glock, and I trust them all to protect my life or the lives of my family.

There are a number of semi auto which I believe have historically shown to be super reliable, I am most familiar with Glock and 3rd generation S&W's such as the 5906 or 645. I also have expereinced total reliability with my CZ-75, S&W 99, S&W M&P9 and S&W M&P45 - however I have not had them for a decade of continued use. In my mind the 1911's are more fussy with respect to ammo than the guns I mentioned.

If you shoot the Glock well, I would take that.
They have a great track record (perhaps the best) for reliability, plus its durable.
Last, if for some reason you have to pull your gun, Heaven forbid, the cops are probably gonna take it, the Glock is less expensive and easy to replace.

Actually, every handgun I have is reliable, or I wouldn't have it. My choice would be one of my 1911s or HKs (HK45, HK45c, P30, P7M8).

I have never had a problem with any of my S&W 3rd generation pistols, and would trust any of them for PD.

My Berettas, Stoegers, CZ, S&W, and Ruger. If I didn't trust my life with any of them, they would not be in my collection.

CCW - STI Shadow, STI Ranger II, or Kahr PM9.

HD - Springfield XD45 Tactical, or HK USP

I am very accurate with any of those, and none of them have had a malfunction yet.

My Beretta 92FS is my carry gun and nightstand gun.

But, unless its a 22 or something like that - I won't keep a gun that isn't reliable.
